Most of us would not have taken this day as seriously last year. But, caught in the clutches of this deadly pandemic, it is high time for us to realise the importance of personal hygiene.
All of us have been reminded over a thousand times by now that the most effective way to stay out of the clutches of viruses is to wash hands thoroughly.
To address the importance of this simple yet effective technique to keep ourselves hygienic, October 15th of every year is observed as Global Handwashing Day. The first global handwashing day was observed on 15th October, 2008 which was initiated by Global Handwashing Partnership.
Every year, a theme is set for the observance of this day.This year's theme is Hand Hygiene for all.
So, let us all follow a few simple steps of handwashing and be hygienic.
