I lay in bed and replay the night. How in the hell did I get so lucky? I haven't been this happy in a while.
I flick through tv channels waiting on her to text me. About fifteen minutes pass when my phone pings.
📱Levi, I made it home. I am safe in my apartment.
📱I am glad you made it home. I just wish you would have stayed.
📱I will after Violet is used to the idea. I don't want to do anything to upset her.
📱That's nice of you to put her first and you are right.
📱I am. Ok, I'm headed to bed I have a client to see at 8:30.

I smile at her last text and lay my phone down and fall right to sleep.
My alarm goes off at 7 and I holler for Violet to wake up. I know she can't hear me so I text Gray.
📱Can you come over and wake Violet up for me?
📱Lol sure! Be right over.
I hear Gray walk in and run upstairs and get Violet up and then he comes back down to check on me.
"So how was yesterday?" He smirked.
"The best stay at home date I've ever had." I smile.
"Uhuh, I see that smile on your face. I want details." He said.
"Nope, you wouldn't give me any when I asked you about Remi," I said.
"That's different Levi."
"No, it's not Gray!"
"Daddy does this look ok to wear to school?" Violet asked.
"You look perfect munchkin." I smile.
"Will Avah be here when I get in from school?" She asked.
"I doubt it she will be working," I said.
"Ah man, I wanted to watch more movies with her." She pouted.
"She will soon I promise. Now give me a kiss you got to get to school." I said.
She walked over and kissed my cheek and walked out the door with Gray. She acts like she's a teenager already.
I turned over and dozed back off which felt like a few minutes when my phone pinged. I picked it up and saw it was Avah and smiled.
📱It's me can I come in?
📱The door is unlocked.
She walked in the doorway and smiled. "Hey there!" She smiled.
"Hey, Avah! Long time no see." I laugh.
"You ready to get busy.?" she smiled.
"What type of busy do you mean?" I grin.
"Physical Therapy busy. We are on company time and so I have to be professional." She said.
"Well, Ms. Jax I'm ready when you are. I'm sure you are going to kick my butt." I said.
She helps me to sit on the side of the bed and it's very hard not to touch her but I respect her job and won't.
"Let's stretch out your leg and then we can try to bend your leg some today and walk a little bit." She said
"Ok stretch me out I'll be patient but someone who isn't patient is Violet. First thing this morning she asked if you would be here when she got home." I said.
"Aww, she did? That was sweet. What did you tell her?" She asked while stretching my leg.
"I told her probably not because you would be at work but that I would get you to come over real soon and watch another movie with her, "I said.
"That was sweet and I would love to but I don't want to get in Remi's way." She said.
"Oh, I think Remi would be excited that Violet has someone else to hang out with," I said as she pulled and stretched my leg.
"I liked hanging out with you guys yesterday." She smiled. "Ok now let's sit on the side of the bed and try to bend your knee."
"This is going to hurt isn't it?" I asked.
"More than likely but we will take it slow." She said.
After ten leg bends I'm done and she can tell. She pulls up a stool next to the bed and massages my knee and leg. "Let me get a look at that hip and make sure it still looks ok." She said.
I raise up so she can pull my shorts down enough to see my hip. "It's looking good Levi."
"I'm glad it is but so are you." I smile at her.
"Come on smooth talker let's go walk around the kitchen a little bit." She said helping me up on my feet. She grabs my walker and sits it in front of me.
"I despise this thing but I'll do it for you," I said.
"I'm glad you are. Maybe we can make a pit stop in the kitchen for a cookie." She smiled.
"I would rather kiss," I said.
"You drive a hard bargain but maybe that can happen." She smiled as we made two laps around the island in the kitchen.
We stopped for a cookie and a peck on the lips but I plan to get more before she leaves today.
She walks me out on the porch and I sit in the rocking chair for a few minutes. The breeze coming off the water feels good.
"This is such a nice view Levi. I would be out here all the time." She said.
"I never slow down enough to enjoy it but I don't have a choice now," I said.
"I understand that. Ok, come on let's get up and head back to the bed." She said.
"Alright let's go," I said struggling to get to my feet. My hip burns like it's on fire.
I had never been so glad to make it back to bed. Once I sit on the side of the bed I close my eyes and breathe.
"Levi are you ok?" She asked.
"Just tired and burning." I sigh.
"I'm sorry but it will get better. I'm going to rub your leg a little and then we will be done." She said.
"Then I can get a kiss?" I ask.
She leans over me and wipes my hair out of my eyes and leans down for a kiss.
I wrap my arm around her neck and pull her close and give her a kiss worth remembering.
