After Gray and Violet leave I help him up and go through his routine for a while then go outside and sit on the porch.
"This feels so nice Levi. I love the breeze off the water" I smile at him.
"I'm happy to be here with you." He said grabbing my hand.
My phone starts ringing and I fish it out of my back pocket and see it's Melly.
📞Hey, Melly what's up?
📞Hey, I know your with Levi but your 1:30 canceled today so you're free for the day. Just log Levi's paperwork later.
📞Oh, great sounds good! Thanks for calling Melly. Love ya!
📞Love you too and do everything I wouldn't haha bye!

"So everything ok then?" He asked.
"Yeah, Melly said my 1:30 canceled so I'm free for the day." I smile over at him.
"So is it against the rules to ask you to take me downtown?" He asks.
"Where are you wanting to go?" I ask.
"To my construction site. I promise I won't get out but I would like to see how it's going and to be honest I would just like to get out of the house." He said.
"Can I drive your big truck?" I laugh.
"Hell yeah, you can." He smirked.
"Well then let's get you dressed." I smile watching him get up on his own.
We head to his bedroom and we change his shorts for some workout pants and I put his shoes on him.
"Levi, why didn't you go to rehab like most people do when having a hip surgery?" I ask.
"I didn't want to because I thought I could get over this on my own but when they mentioned therapy Gray said I had to." He laughed.
"That explains a lot," I smirk and follow him to the truck. Surprisingly he can get up in the truck good.
"Tell me where to go in this tank," I said backing out of the driveway.
"It's downtown. Just take a right and I'll show you where to go." He said.
When we pulled up at the construction site I was amazed at the building. "Just pull up to the front and blow the horn I'm sure someone will come out." He said.
I honked the horn and a guy looked out and smiled when he saw Levi's truck. "Man it's good to see you!" The guy smiled.
"Larry it's good to see you. How are things going?" Levi asked.
"Not bad boss things are right on schedule. We should be finished in a week or less. Who you got with you boss?" Larry smiled.
"Larry this is Avah, my girl. Avah this is Larry, my foreman." He smiled.
"Nice to meet you Avah. You must be special driving that truck." Larry laughed.
"I must be." Avah smiled.
"Let me go grab the guys they will want to say hi." He said.
A couple of guys walked out smiling and walking over to the window. They all seemed happy to see Levi.
Once we pulled out Levi wanted me to show him where my apartment was along with where my parents lived and then we stopped at cookie grounds for a slushy and cookies.
"What flavor you like?" I asked.
"Blueberry and Remi knows my fav cookie." He smiled handing me a twenty-dollar bill.
"I'll be right back then," I said leaning over and kissing him.
I walked in and smile when I saw Remi. "Hi, Remi!"
"Hey, Avah how's it going?" She asked.
"Good I have Levi in the truck he wanted to get out of the house and I came for slushies and cookies. He said you knew his favorite." I laugh.
"That I do. Nice of you to get him out but I'm surprised he let you drive." She laughed.
"Larry his foreman said the same thing," I said.
"He must really like you." She smiled handing over the cookies.
"I like him too." I smiled.
"Enjoy your day together." She smiled and walked me to the door and she waved at Levi.
Once in the truck, he laughed. "Was she giving you the third degree?"
"No Remi is nice she was just surprised you let me drive your truck like Larry was," I said.
"Yeah well, I like you." He smirked.
"That's what I told her and I also told her I like you too." I smiled getting back on the road.
Once back to his house before we could get out my phone rang. "Sorry, it's my dad."
📞 Hey, dad what's up?
📞I hate to call but honey your mom is sick could you drop by?
📞Be right there.
I threw the phone down and reversed the truck back onto the road. "Levi I'm sorry but mom is sick and dad needs me to drop by now."
"It's fine we are already were in the truck I don't mind to tag along. I hope she is ok." He said.
A few minutes later we pull up and dad comes out of the garage. "When did you get a truck?"
"I didn't it's Levi's we were out for a ride when you called can you keep him company while I check on mom?" I asked.
"Sure. She's in the bed by the way." He called out.
I rushed up the steps my heart beating so fast. "Mom?" I called out as I got into her room.
"Avah what's wrong? Why are you here?" She asked.
"Dad said you weren't feeling well and he's worried," I said.
"That crazy old man. Honey, I have a headache that's all I promise," she said.
"Well, I'm glad that's all it is. I left Levi outside in the truck we came straight here."
She smiles really big... "I like him."
"Me too Momma! If you're up for it I may bring Violet by tomorrow she wants to see you." I said kissing her cheek.
"Sounds lovely. Now run on back to Levi I'm good." She smiled.
