I'm worried about Avah I haven't heard from her at all. I've called and texted and nothing.
I am calling Gray. I need to go over there.
📞Gray, will you walk over, please?
📞Sure be right there.
I'm slowly pacing the kitchen when Gray walks in.
"What's going on Levi?" He asked.
"I need you to drive me to Avah's. She's been sick went to the doctor and was supposed to call me when she got out and I've called and texted and nothing." I said.
"Alright let's get you in the truck and I'll let Remi know what's going on and to keep Violet." He said.
Once in the truck my heart is beating fast I'm worried something happened. Gray runs over to the truck and hops in. "Alright let's go." He said.
Once we get over to her apartment Gray parks my truck and helps me get out and over to the building. We get in the elevator and head up to her floor.
Once at her door I knock and knock. "Avah please let me in," I said.
I knocked a few more times before she opened the door squinting her eyes. They are puffy and she looks terrible. "Levi?" She asked.
"Avah omg I was so worried. I've called and texted and you didn't answer after you said you would call. Are you ok?" I ask.
"I'm sorry I came home and went to sleep. Come on in guys." She said.
I turn to Gray. "You can go on home if you want. I'll text you when I'm ready to come home. Thanks again for keeping Violet." I said.
"Ok, I can do that. Feel better Avah." Gray said before leaving.
She sits down on the couch and pats the seat beside me. I finally make it over to sit down with my walker.
"I'm glad your ok I was really worried Avah."
"I'm sorry Levi I didn't mean to worry you. When I left the doctor's office I was so drained I came right home and went to sleep. I'm even still in my scrub." She said looking down.
"So what's going on?" I said.
She places her head in her hands. "What I have isn't going to go away Levi."
"What the hell does that mean? Do you have cancer or something Avah?"
"God no!" She said.
"Well, what is it you're scaring me," I said.
"I'm so sorry Levi. I didn't mean to screw up your life." She cried.
"I'm so confused. What's going on Avah? What sickness do you have?"
She raises her head up and looks at me with tears in her eyes. "I'm pregnant Levi."
"Pregnant? Then why are you sad Avah?"
"Because it's not something we talked about and I completely understand if you just want to walk away now." She cried.
"Oh, Avah the best thing that ever happened to me was becoming a dad and then meeting you. I have more love to give." I said.
"Seriously you're happy about it? Not mad Levi?"
"No, I'm not mad. I'm happy I'm going to be a father again with the woman that I'm in love with." I smile at her.
"Your in love with me? It's a good thing because I'm in love with you too." She laughed and leaned over and kissed me.
"Wow, a baby. So how far along are you?" I ask.
"Dr. Smith said 5 weeks. She wants to see me in a month." She said.
"So what are we going to do? I mean we can't have a baby in two places. Will you move in with me?" I ask her.
"Is that what you want? Maybe once I'm further along we can talk to Violet and see what she wants." She said.
"That's a good idea. You always put her first thank you. So for tonight can we order food and I stay here with you?" I ask.
"Sure! Dr. Smith gave me miracle meds so I can eat. Ill order pizza while you tell Gray your staying." She said.
"Good idea! Let me text him.
📱Gray, I'm staying here tonight. Thank you for keeping Violet and I will see you tomorrow.
📱No problem I hope she is ok.
📱She will be. Night bro.
"So Gray knows not to come back tonight so we are all alone," I smirk.
"The pizza is ordered and we are hungry." She said rubbing her belly.
"A lot of things are changing but I think it's for the better," I said reaching over for her hand and squeezing it.
"I was so afraid you would be mad and not want anything to do with me. But I'm sorry I didn't text or call. I was shocked and overwhelmed and still sick and I just fell asleep." She said.
"It's ok I am just glad you are ok. I was so worried and couldn't drive." I said.
"I'm glad you are here Levi. First time in my apartment." She laughed.
"It's nice actually. I like seeing your tastes. I would walk around but well I'll wait until I have to pee." I laugh.
There was a knock on the door. Avah got up and got the pizza and walked back over to the couch.
"Will ginger ale do? that's all I have besides water." She said.
"It's fine with me I'm not too picky," I said.
She walks back over with two drinks and sits down beside me. "I'm really glad your here Levi."
"I'm glad to be here as well. When you didn't respond I really thought the worst. This is the best outcome." I said.
After we eat I showed him to my bathroom and then the bedroom and we got comfy on the bed. "Since we are alone can we sleep naked?" I laugh.
"If that's what you want to do Levi. Not like anyone is going to walk in on us." She winked taking off her scrubs.
"Now were talking. I love seeing you naked Avah and I can't wait to see your baby bump." I smile.
