I sit on the floor with the kids and hand out the presents while my mom is holding Alex. She pretty much had hogged him to herself which I find amusing.
Kids are screaming and wrapping paper is being thrown everywhere but it's fun to see their little faces light up.
I hand an envelope over to Remi. "Here this is for you for everything you have done for me. I couldn't have asked for a better sister in law." I smile at her.
"Oh Avah you shouldn't have but give me." She laughs and opens it and gasps when she sees it's a gift certificate to the spa.
Levi walks over and sits on the floor behind me. "Hey, babe here is your gift." He said holding a small bag out in front of me.
"Levi, when did you find the time?" I ask looking back at him.
"I have my ways. Now open please." He said kissing the side of my face.
I pull the box out of the bag and open the box to find a ring looking at me and then I realize it's the mother's ring I picked out. "Gray! You set me up." I laugh.
Levi and Gray laugh. "It's beautiful I love it." I smile looking back at Levi.
He puts it on my finger. "I figured since you liked Remi's so much you would like one for yourself." He said.
"I love it! Thank you, Levi." I said kissing his lips.
After we clean up all the mess and have a big breakfast together Davis walked over to where I was. "Avah can I speak to you and Remi in private?" He asked.
"Sure we can go to Alex's room," I said looking at Remi.
"This really isn't a Christmas gift per se but Alice she loved lockets and she had two that she wore that she kept the boy's pictures in and well I found them and I wanted you both to have one as a piece of Alice and maybe you can pass them down to your girls at some point." He said.
"Oh, Davis that's so sweet. I know Remi and I will cherish them." I said as he handed them over to us.
"I'm pretty sure the boy's baby pictures are still inside." He laughs.
Levi and Gray walk in just as we were opening the lockets and Levi looked concerned. "What's going on?" He asked.
"Your dad wanted us to have a locket that belonged to your mother so we could pass them on to our girls one day," I said.
Levi and Gray looked shocked. Then Gray spoke up... "I remember seeing her wear those."
I opened mine and there was a baby picture in there that looked like Alex. "Wow, I didn't realize how much Alex looks like you Levi," I said handing him the locket and he smiles.
Remi opens hers and sees a picture of Gray. "See I was even handsome then." Gray laughs.
"Thanks, Dad these mean a lot to us," Levi said.
"Your welcome. I umm also have these." He said pulling out pics of each of them with their mom at different ages.
"Oh wow! Thanks, Dad." Gray said.
"We were talking about going to decorate Mom's grave today," Levi said.
"I already did it. I thought she might want some red roses today." Davis said.
I walked over and hugged Davis. He felt like he needed one and then Remi joined me and then Gray and Levi joined in.
"Thank you for the locket Davis and please you guys come over more often. The kids love seeing you." I said.
"We will thank you." He said with tears in his eyes.
Remi and I walked out of the room and into the kitchen. "I think they need some time alone," I said.
"I believe you are right but that was such a sweet gesture," Remi said.
I looked over and saw my dad on the floor with Wyatt and Violet and Ruthie was on my mom while Diane was holding Alex.
"So how well did I pick out your ring?" I ask Remi.
"Oh, you did so well." She laughs when there was a knock at the door.
"Who could that be?" I ask walking over to the door and opening it and seeing a smiling Hunter.
"Hey, Hunter! Come on in!" I said.
"Thanks umm I bought the kids some presents and I wanted to drop them by." He said.
"You didn't have to do that but thank you," I said.
Just then the Reece men come out of Alex's room and Levi winked at me and walked over to where Hunter was handing out presents.
"Where is my present Hunter?" Gray joked.
I walked over and joined Levi and he wrapped his arm around me. I looked up at him and he pecked my lips. "I love you." He said.
"I love you too Levi and this has been the best Christmas," I said.
"For me as well." He smiled and kissed my lips again.
A couple of hours later everyone had gone home. Alex was fed and asleep. Violet was upstairs in her room playing with all her new toys and I was ready for a nap.
Levi was laying on the couch and I went and laid in front of him. "What a day. Do you think we can get a small nap in?" I laughed.
"Let's try babe because Violet woke us up too early and Alex will wake up soon hungry or a dirty diaper." He said.
"The last one to sleep has to tend to him." I laugh.
He kisses the top of my head. "I love you Avah! Merry Christmas."
"I love you too Levi and umm your Christmas present is upstairs but you have to wait until I'm healthy again before you unwrap it but I'll give you a hint. It's lacy." I giggle.
"No, you didn't! You are a cruel woman Avah Reece." He laughs.
