On the way to my house, I have the radio up and Violet sings to the top of her lungs and I can't help but giggle. She's so fun to be around.
We pull up at my apartment and I walk around to open her door and she reaches for my hand as we walk across the street.
"Wow, I've never been in an apartment before." She said as we get on an elevator.
"Well it's a lot smaller than your house but I live alone," I said.
"Don't you get lonely Avah?" She asked.
"Yeah, sometimes I do," I said as the elevator opened.
I unlock my door and she steps in and looks around "This is cool." She smiles.
"Thanks! You can see the beach from my window but nothing like your view at home." I laugh.
"My daddy actually has smiles on his face now since you have been coming around." She said.
"And are you ok with that Violet?" I ask.
"You bet! I have been praying for him a girlfriend for a while and here you are." She giggled.
I couldn't help but giggle. The innocents of a child. I love how she thinks. "I'm going to pack my bag ok?" I said.
"Ok, I'll come with you." She said running behind me.
Once the clothes were packed up I asked what she wanted for dinner and was surprised when she said Chinese but that works for me and thankfully she knows what Levi likes.
We stop and pick up and the food and head back to Levi. I sure hope he's still laying down resting.
Violet burst through the door yelling Daddy! "I'm in the bedroom munchkin." He said.
I smile when I hear he is laying down still and Violet goes in there to tell him all about how nice my apartment is.
I walk into the bedroom and he winks at me. I smile and walk over to him with his walker. "You ready to get up for some Chinese food?" I ask.
"Of course." He said sitting up on the side is the bed. I hold the walker and he gets up and follows us into the kitchen.
I help him into a chair and Violet helps me get the food out.
"So you had fun I take it, Violet?" He asked.
"I did we turned the radio up and sang to the top of our lungs." She giggles.
I laugh and wink at her. "We had a good time." I open the containers and sit down beside Levi.
"I'm glad you girls had a good time." He smiled scooping out some food on his plate.
"Daddy, what movie do you want to watch?" Violet asked.
"I'm not sure munchkin I'm sure we can find something." He said.
We laugh and talk around the table and then after we eat Violet helps me clean up the food and put it away then I help Levi over to the couch.
I sit between the two of them while we look for something to watch. "Ooh, can we watch Monsters Inc Daddy?" Violet asked.
"It's ok with me if Avah is ok with it." He said.
"Oh, I don't mind." I smile.
"Munchkin will you go get a blanket out of the closet?" He asked.
She jumps up and runs to the hall and comes back with her arms full. "Here and I got me a sleeping bag." She smiles.
We get not even thirty minutes into the movie and Violet is asleep. I look over at her and cover her up. "She didn't make it long." I laugh.
"She never does. She gets so excited to watch the movie that she always falls asleep. I miss picking her up and tucking her in." He said.
"Ever thought of having more?" I ask.
"I have thought about it and I'd like to someday." He smiled and placed his hand on my leg.
"I'm going to help her upstairs to bed and then I'll help you to bed," I said.
"I'll be waiting." He smirks.
I get up and pull back the covers. "Violet let's get up and go to bed ok?" I said.
She opens her eyes and smiles and says ok before getting up kissing Levi's cheek and walking upstairs to her room. I help her change her clothes and get in the bed and tuck her in before putting on her night light and cutting off the overhead light.
I pull her door up and tiptoe back downstairs. "You ready for bed?" I ask him.
"Ready for something." He smirked.
He gets up himself and I follow him into the bedroom. He gets his shirt off and maneuvers his shorts off and sits on the bed in his boxers.
"Look at you! I didn't even have to help you this time." I said grabbing my clothes out of the bag I brought and walk to the bathroom to pee and change.
When I walk back out he's laying down on his back staring at the ceiling.
I walk on the other side of the bed and get in and he cuts off the light. The only light in the room is the tv.
"So thanks for taking Violet with you today. I can tell she really enjoyed it a lot." He said.
"It was fun and I enjoy spending time with her. I asked her if it was ok that we liked each other and she said yes she prayed for you a girlfriend and it worked." I giggle.
"No, she didn't? Did she?" He said.
"She did and I thought that was the sweetest thing ever." I smile at him.
"That kid I swear I've done a lot wrong but she is something I have done right." He said.
"I was hoping today you would let me take her over and visit my mom for a while," I said turning over to face him.
"Of course. She likes being with you but not as much as I do." He said turning over and pulling me close.
I leaned up and kissed him goodnight and we fall asleep.
