I didn't think Avah would take me up on my offer and bring her mom over but I'm glad she did.
Gray went home told Remi they were here and she decided to have a bbq.
"Umm, Gray just texted me Remi is having a bbq and insist that you guys stay for it," I said.
"Oh that's very nice but it's up to mom and how she feels. Mom do you want to stay for the bbq?" Avah asks her.
"Sure I just wish Jay was here." She smiled.
"I'll call dad and see if he will come by," Avah said getting up out of the rocker and walking down in the sand.
"So Levi you like living on the beach?" Jody asked.
"I do. I moved here when Violet was six and moved in with Gray but when Remi moved in next door and they got together he moved in with her and gave me his house." I said.
"Wow, that's a nice brother. So where is Violet's mother?" She asked.
"We divorced a few years back and she gave up all contact with Violet," I said.
"How sad. Jay and I always wanted children but we couldn't have them then we decided to adopt and two years later a 4-month-old Avah came into our lives." She smiled.
"Oh, I didn't know. I know she lights up when she talks about you." I said.
"She's always been the light of my life and I know she's worried about my health." She sighed.
"I understand." I smiled at her as Avah came back up on the porch.
"Dad is on his way." She smiled.
"Good the more the merrier and Remi is such a good cook I can't wait." I grinned.
"Her food the other day was delicious!" Avah said.
Remi walked over to the porch and greeted us explaining the bbq would be closer to us and that Gray took all the kids to the water. She and Jody chatted it up and she really wanted to help cook and Remi was excited.
Avah took a chair to the table in the sand that Remi has set up so her mom could help.
She came back and sit beside me. "Thank you, Levi! She hasn't been this happy in a while." Her eyes were filled with tears.
I leaned over and caught a tear with my finger. "It's going to be ok Avah."
A tall man walked up to the porch smiling. "Hey, Dad!" Avah said.
"I guess I'm in the right place." He chuckled.
"Dad this is Levi. Levi this is my dad Jay." She said.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Jax," I said.
"Please call me Jay. Nice to meet you too Levi and thank you for all of this." He said.
"Dad mom is out in the sand with Remi. She's Levi's sister in law and the best cook. Momma wanted to help her." Avah grinned.
I saw her dad smile really big and I knew he was feeling happy that she was out enjoying life again.
"I'm going to go help them. Thanks again, Levi." Jay said.
"No problem," I said.
"Are you ok Levi? Do you need to stand?" she asked.
"I need to use the bathroom think maybe you could help me?" I ask.
"Of course I can help you. Can you get up yourself?" She asked.
"I would like to try let's see." I chuckle.
I struggle to get up but I make it. I smile at Avah as I grab my walker. She follows me into the house and to the bathroom and she takes my walker away and helps me over to the toilet.
"Umm unless your going to hold it for me when I pee you might want to step out." I laugh.
"Oh, Levi!" She laughs walking out the door.
Once done I make it over to the sink to wash my hands when she opens the door. I slightly turn around and my leg is locked and I almost fall.
She catches me in her arms and our faces are so close and our lips almost touch. It's like time stops and we stare at each other for a minute.
"Umm, I need to massage your leg." She said dropping down to her knees.
I watch as she works my leg and hip and it hurts like shit but I like her hands on me.
"Does it hurt when I do this Levi?" She asks.
"Yeah pretty bad." I wince.
"Ok let's try and get you over to the bed and I need to stretch your leg." She said.
"But it's your day off." I tease.
"Well, this one is free then." She giggles and puts my arm around her neck to help get me over to the bed.
"I'm sorry I'm such a pain in the ass. You should be outside with your mom enjoying the beach and sunshine." I said.
"And I will as soon as I get you a little better." She smiled.
As she worked my leg Sierrah ran in. "Uncle Levi come outside!" She ordered.
"I will soon Sierrah ok?" I said.
"Okie Dokie then." She said and ran off.
"She's cute!" Avah said.
"Yeah and has Gray wrapped." I laugh.
Gray walks in. "You guys ok in here? Sierrah ran out and said you two were making babies."
"What?" Avah said.
"She doesn't even know what that means relax." I laugh.
"Well I'm stretching his leg and we are fully clothed, Gray," Avah said.
"Yeah, I almost fell coming out of the bathroom. As soon as she's done we will be out Gray." I said.
"Alright!" Gray said raising his hands in front of him and walked out the door.
"Kids say some of the craziest things." I laugh.
"That they do and she will have my mom now asking for grandchildren." Avah laughed.
"Well, I did supply the porch. Maybe I can supply another kid." I laughed.
"Shut up Levi." She giggled.
