Two weeks have passed since Avah's accident and we were up and ready for another doctor's appointment hoping we can tell if it's a boy or girl.
"Are you ready to go Avah?" I said walking into the bathroom.
"Yeah was trying to get my sandals on." She laughed.
I'm still using the cane but I don't need it now I don't think and I plan to drive us this morning. What Avah doesn't know is I bought her another mini cooper and it will be delivered when we get back.
She loved her car and misses it so bad so I bought her another same color just brand new. She needs a new car to take our children around.
"I'm going to drive today." I smiled heading out the door.
"Oh, you feel that good now? I'm excited." She said getting in the passenger side.
We arrive at the doctor's office and wait to be called back. The nurse comes out smiling. "Avah." She said.
She takes us into the room and takes Avah's temp and blood pressure as we wait for Dr. Smith to come in.
"I'm so excited! I hope we can see the sex of the baby." I smirk.
"I know you are hoping to see a little penis." She giggles.
"No way not little. It needs to be big." I laugh.
Dr. Smith walks in. "Morning guys! Are you ready to see what you're having?"
"Yes, we are excited hoping we can see," Avah said.
Doctor Smith lifts Avahs's shirt and squirts the gel on. "Alright let me take some measurements and then we will look. She's quiet for a few minutes. So I squeeze Avah's hand.
"Alright looks like the baby is cooperating today and I can see the sex. Are you ready?" She asks.
"Oh yeah, we are ready doc." I laugh.
"Well see right here? She points. That right there makes him a boy!" She laughs.
"Oh my god, Avah that's his penis! It's a boy." I laugh and jump up kissing my girl.
"A boy." She grins as I kiss her again.
Doctor Smith prints out some pictures hand them to us. "Congrats guys! And I'll see you back here in a month." She said walking out the door.
We walk out make an appointment and head toward home. I can't wait until she sees her car.
We pull up at the house and she's looking at the car but doesn't say anything at first. "Levi who's car is that?"
"It's yours Avah," I said.
"Shut up! No way! Levi, what did you do?" She asks.
"Go look at it. I know how much you miss your car and you need something to drive our son around in." I said.
"Oh, Levi!" She leans over the center console and kisses my lips then jumps out of the truck to go look at her car.
"What do you think Avah?" I ask her walking up.
"I love it Levi it's so much nicer than my other one." She smiles and kisses me again.
"Now we need to tell people we are having a boy," I said.
"Want to send a pic of the sonogram to everyone in a group text or what?" She asked.
"How do you want to tell?" I ask her.
"Not sure but Violet gets to know first. So let's wait until she comes home." She said as we sit down on the porch.
"Well, Violet should be coming with Gray any minute," I said rocking in the chair.
"Do you have a name, Levi?" She asked.
"Umm not really. How about you? Do you have a name?" I ask.
"I do have a name but I'm not sure how you would feel about it." She smiled.
"Lay it on me. I'm pretty agreeable on anything." I laugh.
"How about Alexander Levi Reece.?" She said.
"I like it. Well, the middle name anyway. But what you don't know is Alexander is Gray's middle name. He will be so happy." I laugh.
"Oh yeah, I had no idea. So you like it?" She asked.
"If I can call him Alex sure." I smile and lean over for a kiss when Gray walks up with Violet.
"So did you find out what the baby is daddy?" Violet asks jumping up and down.
"We did! I will let Avah tell you." I smile.
"Mooooomy what is it??" She jumps up and down.
"You are having a baby brother!" Avah giggles.
"Yes! Another boy!" Gray laughs.
Avah is hugging and kissing Violet and walks into the house with her.
Gray sits in the chair and laughs again. "Let me see the picture." He said.
"Now before you get a big head she's already picked the name and I had nothing to do with it."

"Alexander Levi Reece," I said.
"Oh fuck yeah!" Gray laughs.
"I figured that you would like that. But I told Avah he has to be called Alex." I said.
"I would go hug her but you might kill me." Gray laughed.
Remi walked up with a big container of cookies. "What's up?" She said.
"Remi guess what?? They are naming the baby after me. Oh, and it's a boy." He said.
"A boy? yay! what's the name?" She asked handing me the container.
"Alexander Levi Reece," Gray smirked.
"Oh boy, y'all really have made his head big. Where is Avah?" Remi asked.
"Inside with Violet go on in," I said.
"So have you told dad yet?" Gray asked.
"Not yet after Avah saw her car we sit on the porch and you showed up so probably just text them. It's weird going over without Remi doing all the talking." I said.
"Yeah, it's nothing like being around Jody and Jay. They are nice people." Gray said.
"They really are. Man Gray I can't believe we are having a son. I am finally getting that boy." I smile.
"Your a great dad Levi and adding a boy to the mix will fit well in the family." He smiled patting me on the shoulder.
