The date was the 1st September, the day that students joined to be welcomed back to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Kings cross station was littered with muggles however, if you looked closely you could see the wizards and witches making their way to platform 9 3/4 to aboard the Hogwarts Express.

Jesse was going into her 6th year at Hogwarts, she was excited to see Elise, her best friend, as they had not seen each other throughout the summer break. Of course they sent owls to one another however they did not meet up. This was mainly due to Jesse, she was a closed book and preferred to stay at home however Elise did not mind this as she was similar to the girl.

Jesse entered platform 9 3/4 and said goodbye to her parents as she entered the train, her trunk's already been taken from her to be placed aboard the express. She held a small bag on her arm along with a 6 year old Bengal called Snow who she had bought in her first year. Once she was aboard the train she looked through the many carriages, hoping to find the dark haired girl she grew fond of the past 6 years.

Upon looking inside the next carriage, she noticed the familiar face of Elise. Entering the carriage she gave the girl a wide smile "it's good to see you Elise" Jesse spoke in the direction of the girl already sat. Elise looked back over at the 5'3 blonde girl stood in the entrance, a smile forming on her face. She jumped up and hugged Jesse tightly "oh gosh Jess I haven't seen you in ages!! How are you?" The excitable girl said.

The hug had caused snow to jump out of Jesse's arms and take refuge on the seat in the carriage. Jesse hugged Elise back and smiled along with the girl "I'm good Elise, how are you doing?" She replied waiting for Elise to respond. "I'm doing great now you're here~" Elise replied to Jesse before returning back to her seat. Jesse joined Elise and sat across from her "how was your summer?" Jesse asked, glancing at the people walking past their carriage.

"Oh my summer was great~ how was yours?" Elise replied, asking Jesse the same question "my summer was the usual, parents fighting then acting like it's all sunshine and rainbows" Jesse sighed with her comment. Her home life was perfect as most people thought, her parents constantly fought over the littlest things, their opinions were very different however Jesse knew they did in fact love one another. Jesse's mother, Hannah blossom, worked in the ministry and worked in the muggle artefacts office. Jesse's father, was Keith blossom, who worked in Honeydukes sweet shop in Hogsmeade meaning that she saw him often when they visited the local town.

As Jesse and Elise indulged in conversation, she heard huffs and puffs from outside the carriage, noticing two fiery red heads walk past their carriage before backtracking. They stood outside and argued quietly with another before opening the carriage door "mind if we sit in here?" One of the redheads asked us, they were also sixth years, Gryffindors, Jesse recently had classes with them, pranksters which Jesse did care for, her work was too important to her.

The two girls shook their heads before turning back to look at each other, Elise sending Jesse a look which she knew as the 'they're cute' . She sighed quietly to herself as their journey to Hogwarts had now become quiet, as neither of the Slytherin girls or Gryffindor boys wanted to speak to one another.

Jesse and Elise were surprised that two Gryffindors wanted to sit with them, knowing that Slytherin's and Gryffindors usually did not get along. 'Maybe the other carriages were full' Jesse thought to herself as she glanced over at the two boys. She recognised the one sat next to her as George Weasley, one half of the twin duo. She could tell them apart easily as she picked up on their differences when she was sat on the same table as them in potions class. They were terrible at potions and constantly nagged Jesse to help them so they could actually pass the class. Which usually earned then a sigh from Jesse and a few sentences explaining what to do.
