10 - im going to Romania!

It was Saturday morning. Since George had mentioned a letter from his older red headed brother she got up early and was excited to receive a letter a breakfast, the past couple of days she hadn't received anything but maybe today. She pulled on a pair of black straight legged trousers along with a plain black shirt, since it's was winter, she pulled on an emerald green coat which reminded her of her house robes without the Slytherin logo. She did her regular makeup and pulled on a pair of docs before heading down to breakfast, not even speaking to Elise or Thomas as she left. She was too excited to receive this supposed letter.

Once Jesse had reached the great hall she sat down and started eating, Elise and Thomas walking in moments after her, joining her at the table "someone's excited" Elise said before sitting across from the girl "well what if I get this letter today?" Jesse spoke in between bites.

They had sat and chatted for around 10 minutes before owls flew in and dropped off letters for people, Jesse received two. She was expecting one and wondered who the second was from. She had already finished eating so opened the first letter. It was from her mom, obviously wondering how she was getting on. She placed the owl from her mom aside and opened the second, it was grandly sealed with wax which made her squeal internally. It was from the Romanian Dragon sanctuary, it read:

Dear Miss blossom,

We have been informed over your love of dragons and how you would like to work with them once finishing education. We have already spoken to your care of magical creatures professor and looked at your grades and have decided to offer you an internship at our facility this summer, it would be for the first 4 weeks then you will return home with enough time to have a summer holiday. We will near an answer from you before the 1st of January so we can discuss the requirements of joining us in the summer.

Jesse was speechless, she read over it countless times and still couldn't believe what she read "what is it Jess?" Thomas said, looking at the girl next to him "they.. they've offered me an internship!" She covered her mouth as her eyes welled up with happiness. She glanced over at the Gryffindor table and noticed George wasn't there. She grabbed her letters and wiped her eyes before running out of the hall and towards the Gryffindor common room. This was George's doing. She couldn't think of anything else to do except thank him.

Jesse reached the Gryffindor common room and was out of breathe, she waited outside for the redhead to emerge from the portrait hole. After around 5 minutes a grumpy George exited still hoping to catch breakfast. Before he could speak he was attacked by Jesse in a hug. He realised who it was and hugged her back "good morning to you too" he chuckled as he spoke, his voice still raspy from just waking up "thank you George" she mumbled before letting go of him, handing him the letter "look!" She had the biggest smile she could muster across her face as she watched George read the letter

"I'm proud of you Jesse~" George spoke with a wide smile "you'll have to come visit me afterwards and tell me how it goes" he exclaimed, hoping this could mean a potential date in the future "of course I will! I need to owl them back to let them now I'm going!" She said with a massive grin before she ran back off to the slytherin common room.

Once Jesse reached the common room she headed up to her room and started writing a letter to her mom along with the dragon sanctuary. She could barely write on the parchment properly she was so excited. There was no need to send one to her dad as she'd see him on the next hogsmeade trip so she could tell him all about it.

Jesse had already headed back out of her room and was wondering the halls, looking for Thomas and Elise, she hadn't seen them in the common room which confused her, maybe something was going on between them? She thought to herself but dismissed the theory knowing thomas still liked her, or did he?. She doubted herself before heading to the Gryffindor common room to find George, she could bother him for today.

She was stood outside the Gryffindor common waiting for someone to walk towards the door who she knew, she noticed Lee walking upstairs and smiled "you're George's friend right?" She asked him, a smirk forming on his face "I am indeed, it's inside, come on I'll take you in" he grabbed Jesse's hand before she could refuse and mumbled the password, pulling her into the Gryffindor common room and over to Fred and George. George stood up and titled his head "Jesse?" He then saw the male stood next to her "you know if a teacher finds her in here they'll flip?" He said in a more serious tone "oh shush! She was waiting for you, plus we need to discuss our pranks, maybe she can help" lee replied "she has a name you know" Jesse crossed her arms and glared at Lee slightly. She sat down on the sofa next to George "I've never planned a prank before, only been effected back them" she looked at George then Fred and Lee who sat opposite them.

Jesse sat back and listened to the three talking about tiger newest prank as she heard the word 'Slytherin' "hey! You always prank slytherin" Jesse exclaimed, not wanting to be pranked by the three again "well who else are we going to prank?" Fred said, looking quite smug with himself "I don't know.. why not prank those stuck up ravenclaws, always thinking they're the best house" she exclaimed before leaning back against the sofa. Lee and Fred looked at each other before chuckling "George you found yourself a keeper here! She's better at planning than us" lee exclaimed, happy with what the Slytherin had said.

They kept planning their new pranks and George even told Jesse about their idea to start a joke shop once they leave which she thought was a great idea. She kept listening to tiger ideas before looking at her watch "oh I should head back, Elise and Thomas will be looking for me" she stood up and smiled "thank you for allowing me to keep you all company" she said before walking towards the portrait hole "see ya Jesse!" George called out with a wave as Jesse left. She sighed and headed back to her common room after an amazing day.
