17- its time for the ball

An: so yes it's time for the Yule ball! And don't worry George and Jesse will have their moment.

It was the morning of Christmas Eve, Jesse had decided to get up earlier than usual and get herself a shower ready for the day ahead, she was nervous for the ball later that night but also excited. She had bought all her Christmas presents and they were stocked under her bed, covered so Elise couldn't peak at them whilst she was asleep.

Once she had gotten back to her room, she pulled on a pair of black jeans along with a big emerald green turtle necked jumper since winter was in full force at Hogwarts, it was the first time her and many students had stayed over Christmas at Hogwarts and she knew she wouldn't forget the experience. She had waited for Elise to get ready so they could head down for breakfast together.

Once they reached the great hall, it was buzzing with chatter and excitement. Jesse and Elise took their place at the Slytherin table before they added into the chatter themselves "so are you excited for tonight?" Elise asked Jesse as she turned towards the girl "I am.. but I wish I would've known George was going to ask me" she said with a sigh "don't get me wrong I do have feelings for Thomas and I like him so much, but I felt so bad rejecting George, either way, I'd have to regret someone" she explained Which Elise nodded to "well maybe going to the hall with Thomas won't be a bad thing, you can sus out whether you think it's right for you and him to be together" Elise exclaimed "not a bad idea" Jesse replied to her before they began to eat their breakfast.

The day wizzed past like nothing she had ever seen before, most likely from the excitement of the Yule ball that night. It was around 6 o'clock and Elise and Jesse headed up to their dorm to begin getting ready for the ball. Jesse started to do her hair and makeup, she did green eye makeup with winged liner, it was simple but matched her dress. She did her hair in a loose but elegant bun with small strands of blonde hair cupping her face. She then pulled on her dress and looked in the mirror "I look like an princess" she mumbled to herself before smiling.

Elise was also in the process of getting ready, she did her hair straight as it was cut into a Bob and added some subtle blue eyeshadow on to tie in her look. She pulled on her navy blue dress and stood next to Jesse "look at us" she said with a smile "ooo we should get a photo!" Jesse spoke before pulling out her camera, she placed it on a stool and shuffled back, making sure it was set on a timer, she smiled with Elise before pulling a funny face, making them both laugh.

Once the photo was fully developed, Elise did a simple spell to double it so she could have one herself, it was a moving picture, the camera was gifted to her from her late grandparents in their will so it was very precious to her. She put the camera into her purse so she could take photos when at the ball.

It was almost time for them to head down, Elise went down to the common room to make sure that Thomas was already gone before Jesse followed her. They linked arms and headed towards the great hall "I'm so nervous" Jesse mumbled before turning to her friend who was nodding "me too". They soon reached the stairs and Elise noticed Thomas waiting for Jesse, she also noticed her own date Charlotte. The twins were also in the area before the great hall.

Elise linked arms with Jesse again as they both walked down the stairs, Fred nudged George making him look up at the stairs "she looks bloody beautiful" George mumbled, mesmerised by Jesse's beauty. Thomas walked up to her and took her from Elise "hi Tommy" Jesse said to him "you look great" she added "you look beautiful Jesse" he added to the conversation, making Jesse blush slightly "shall we go in?" Jesse nodded and followed Thomas into the great hall, it was decorated beautifully and was like a winter wonderland.

The four champions and their dates all entered the great hall and started off the ball with a traditional dance, then many students and teacher began to join in the dance. Thomas turned to Jesse and held out his hand "care to dance?" He asked which Jesse took his hand and nodded to. She followed him to the dance floor and danced with him, dancing with Thomas was amazing, he was gentle and made sure that he didn't show it when Jesse accidentally stepped on one or two of his toes.

After so much dancing, Jesse took a break, she had sat down next to Elise and gave her a smile "I saw you dancing with Charlotte~ anything going on with you two yet?" Elise sighed at the question "I hope something does happen, I really like her" Jesse chuckled and looked at the crowd, she did enjoy dancing with Thomas however there was another would she wished to dance with, George.

George had finally plucked up the courage, with a little help from Fred, to go ask Jesse to dance. He noticed she was sat alone with her Friend so the slytherin boy Thomas wouldn't interfere. He walked up to her and smile "Jesse, May I have this dance?" He asked looking at her. Jesse stood up and nodded "you may~" she replied before taking his hand and following him to the dance floor "I was waiting for you to ask you know" she admitted when they started to dance "really?" He asked back which Jesse nodded to "I am sorry that I couldn't come with you but at least we can have this time" she said with a sweet smile.

George and Jesse danced for the next two songs, Jesse had rested her head on George's shoulder before they split from each other and headed back to sit down. Jesse walking over to Elise, she sat down and sighed happily "that was amazing" she exclaimed which made Elise chuckled "I could tell you enjoyed it" Jesse nodded before she noticed Thomas was no where to be seen. "I'm going to go find Thomas" she stood up and exited the great hall and noticed Thomas sat on the stairs. She sat next to him and smiled "hey~" she spoke softly "do you like the Weasley boy?" Thomas asked her quietly which startled Jesse slightly "honestly Thomas.. my feelings are all over the place. I don't know who I want or who I like" she placed her hand on top of his and gave him a warm smile.

Thomas looked up and chuckled "hey look what's above us" Jesse looked and noticed the mistletoe. Thomas smiled "May I?" He spoke as he cupped Jesse's cheek, she replied with a nod before leaning in, their lips pressing against each others. The kiss was short and sweet, it felt right unlike their kiss before. Jesse pulled away and blushed, looking down at the floor, the mistletoe disappearing. It reminded her of all tiger previous experiences which made her smile gleefully "tonight was amazing Tommy~ thank you" she said before standing up.

Jesse glanced over to her side and giggled "hey Tommy look" she whispered to him as they were both stood up now. In the order of the entrance to the hall was a certain Slytherin snogging a hufflepuff, Elise and Charlotte "I swear if I hear anything from Elise's bed tonight" she chuckled as she hugged Thomas slightly. Tonight had been amazing.
