20- Thomas and Jesse

An: this chapter is a flashback to Jesse's fifth year and her relationship with Thomas back then, I wanted to add this in since it's been mentioned in previous chapters before.

"Come on Tommy! I have a free period, let's go to the astronomy tower" she said pulling Thomas outside and towards the astronomy tower. They had reached the tower and sat, looking at the stars in the distance. They were holding one another's hands and Jesse had leant her head on Thomas's shoulder "I love you Tommy" Jesse spoke with a smile.

Thomas stood up and pulled Jesse up with him, he started swaying with her, them dancing in the moonlight, Jesse leaning against Thomas with her eyes closed, her trust fully in Thomas at this moment in time.

They had been in a relationship for 6 months now, and had gotten together in November, it was now the start of May and their anniversary, a few days before Jesse's birthday. Thomas lifted up Jesse's chin and kissed her gently, the moon shining down on them.

They had a perfect relationship and everything was going smoothly. She thought she had her soulmate.

A few weeks past and Jesse had been roaming the corridors and she stumbled upon Thomas, she smiled and started to head over to him. Before her world crashed into a million pieces, he was kissing another girl. She felt heartbroken and started to cry. She thought her and Thomas were going to be end game but apparently not.

Thomas glanced up after he broke the kiss and looked at Jesse "Jesse wait!" He exclaimed before Jesse ran away from him. He ran after her and grabbed her arm "Jesse please allow me to explain.." Jesse stopped and looked at Thomas "how can you explain that?! There's nothing to explain!!" She shouted at him. Thomas sighed "I didn't mean to.. it just happened" Jesse sniffled as tears rolled down her cheeks "if it was all too much you could've told me!"

Thomas grabbed Jesse's hand "I'm sorry Jess, I didn't want to hurt your feelings" Jesse pulled her hand away "it's over Thomas." She walked back to her room in the common room and laid on her bed, snow comforting her in the process.

Jesse didnt attended lessons for the next couple of weeks. Thomas had Inlisted Elise's help to make Jesse talk to him. She brought Jesse down to the common room, she sat down on the sofa before she saw Thomas walk in. "Let me explain Jess please" he looked at her with a small smile.

Jesse just sat there and agreed to Listen "I'm really sorry.. I don't think I was ready for a relationship, I shouldn't of jumped straight into it but I didn't want to hurt your feelings by breaking it off so I just.. cheated I guess. I want to move past thing and just be friends and maybe.. when we are ready we can rekindle things in the future" Jesse had already started to cry again. She nodded and hugged Thomas "friends.." she spoke before letting go of him and walking back up to her room.
