Lessons had been cancelled for the afternoon, for most this was strange and many didn't understand why. Everyone were brought to a hall, everyone in tiger respected houses. Girls were sat on one side of the room and boys on the other. Jesse was making small talk with Elise and the other girls in Slytherin before Snape grabbed everyone's attention "the reason, we are here today is that.. the Tri-Wizard Tournament had extras including the Yule ball" the whole of the girls half began to chatter over the thought of a ball. Snape once against silenced everyone before he carried on "it will be on Christmas Eve, starting at 8pm and finishing at midnight, Parkinson." Snape called as she stood up and walked over to him.

After an agonising 5 minutes of watching pansy being taught how to waltz by Snape, he told everyone else to find a partner and join in. Elise stood up and walked straight over to a Slytherin boy she fancied as Jesse watched them all, not caring to take part. Before She knew it, someone tapped her shoulder, Thomas, "care to dance?" He questioned with his hand out, Jesse took his hand and followed him, stepping on his toes from time to time as they danced "sorry.. I'm such a crap dancer" she cursed herself as she had pretty much stepped on every toe Thomas had. "No worries, it just takes practice" he responded encouragingly and with a smile.

We were soon released from the dancing lesson when Jesse noticed George also walking out of a similar room. "Hey Georgie" Jesse said with a smile "guessing you just had dancing lessons too" George nodded in reply "Ron had to dance with professor McGonagall, it was hilarious!" Jesse chuckled at the thought "well Pansy Parkinson had to dance with Snape which was equally as funny" the comment make George crack up at the thought of Snape doing the waltz. "So who you thinking of asking to the ball?" Jesse questioned, kind of hoping he'd say her but she knew it wouldn't happened. His face was flustered "um.. I don't know" he pushed the subject aside and smiled "so have you got a letter from Charlie recently" Jesse shook my head "no? Why would I?" She questioned him.

The day had carried on as usual and it was soon time for them to retire back to the common rooms. Jesse had joined Elise in their dorm as the common room became crowded. She was stroking snow sat criss cross apple sauce (I love this saying don't judge me) talking all girly things "so Elise, I saw you talking to Charlotte in Arithmancy today, what's that all about?" Jesse inquired, making elise blush slightly "oh shush, she's sat next to me so of course I'm going to chat with her" Elise exclaimed, her cheeks a bright pink colour "oooo do you fancy her?" Jesse teased which made Elise throw a pillow at her. "That means yes!" Jesse shouted slightly, earning another pillow to the face from Elise.

Elise switched the tables onto Jesse "so how's your love triangle going?" She asked making Jesse sit up "what love triangle?" She replied with confusion "you, George and Thomas of course! They both like you it's so obvious" Elise replied "oh shush no They don't" which made Elise crossed her arms and give Jesse the 'are you sure about that' look. "Okay okay but you know what happened between me and Thomas last year.. I can't do that again" Jesse spoke with her head lowered. She hadn't told anyone except Elise about her and Thomas, she was too ashamed of herself and luckily Thomas forgave her but the tension was still there between them both. The longing to hug him like they used to, however that couldn't happen anymore.
