Jesse hadn't been the same since George stopped talking to her. She felt alone, enough though she had Elise and Thomas, it didn't feel right. She didn't speak to many people and just wished that George would speak to her again. She had surprisingly spent more time with Thomas since Christmas. He was there for her and it was refreshing.

She was walking to her study period with Thomas, their hands next to each other. Thomas grabbed Jesse's hand which startled her slightly however she didn't mind it, it was refreshing and reminded her of the past year.

They both sat down at their table and Jesse got her books and parchment out, pulling her hand away from Thomas' before she started to do her work. From time to time she glanced over at George and gave him a warm smile. She wanted him back and she couldn't. It upset her but she wanted to give him the space he needed.

The study period was soon over for Jesse, as she left the hall she was pulled aside by Thomas "walk with me?" He spoke as Jesse followed him "so I really enjoyed our time at the ball and all our dates we'd been on" Jesse knew what was coming however still walked along with him "I was wondering, if you'd want to give it another go? Us being in a relationship"

Jesse stopped walking and looked at him, thoughts of their past relationship and how it ended came flooding back to her, she didn't want that. She wanted George. She didn't want Thomas anymore, she valued his friendship and didn't want to ruin that again "I.. I'm sorry Thomas.. I cant" she said before she walked away, tears streaming down her face.

Everything clicked, why George hadn't spoken to her. It was all apart of his plan. She stopped and sat down in a desolate corridor and curled up, crying into her knees. Fred noticed this and walked over to her and sat next to her "what's the matter Slytherin?" He asked her. Jesse looked up at Fred and wiped her eyes "nothing Fred.. I'm fine"

Fred sighed and looked at the girl "well I can tell you're not, talk to Freddie" he said looking into the girls eyes "Thomas asked me out.." she said, sniffing as she did "and this is a problem why?" Fred asked her "because of what happened last year Fred.. he cheated on me, I can't go through that again" she cried more. Fred pulled Jesse into a hug and rubbed her back "you know I have a twin brother who would happily talk to you about this?" He said, which caused Jesse to cry more.

"But.. he he.. he won't speak to me!" She exclaimed through her tears. Fred sighed "because Thomas told him to stay away from you.. If you went up to him, he'd be there for you Jess." He spoke in a calming voice "he needs you" which Jesse nodded to.

She let go of Fred and wiped her eyes "thank you Fred.. for talking to me" she said with a small smile "ill talk to him.." she sniffled and stood up "I'm going to go freshen up" she smiled weakly "thank you again" she said as she walked away.
