42- the third task

It was almost the end of the school year which meant two things, the final task and Jesse was leaving for Romania soon. She would go home and grab her bags before heading to Romania for her internship.

Jesse had gone to watch the third task with George when she noticed his whole family watching. George walked over to them and sat down, Jesse following. She was introduced to his older brother Bill, his mother and father, Molly and Arthur. She had already met Charlie beforehand. Charlie had sat next to Jesse, she turned her attentive to him and started talking to him about dragons and the internship.

George grumbled slightly, molly noticed and saying to him "oh Georgie~ they're just talking about the internship, there's nothing to get jealous over" Molly chuckled slightly. George crossed his arms and carried on grumbling. Charlie saw George and chuckled, throwing his arm over Jesse's shoulder "awe Georgie~ are you all jealous because me and Jesse get to spend a whole month together~?" He teased.

Elise and Charlotte sat nearby, Jesse waving at them both before glancing at Bill. She looked down and knew he recognised her. "Hey Charlie, mind if I take your seat so I can have a chat with Jesse?" Charlie nodded at bills request and stood up, allowing Bill to take his place.

Bill sad down and gave Jesse a smile "you do look like her" Jesse looked down "well I don't want to.. she was horrible to me" Bill chuckled slightly "oh she was a proper bitch in school, you'd think a hufflepuff would be caring but nope. She mainly hung out with Ravenclaw's when she was here" Jesse nodded and sighed "well i hope I don't have to see her again." Bill nodded and gave Jesse a smile "where does she work?"

Jesse pondered for a moment "she works in America.. for their version of our ministry, she's an auror over there. I'm glad she's over there and not here" Bill shrugged "maybe she's come and visit" "merlin I hope not" she chuckled slightly. It was nice to get some insight from Bill about her sister, at least she wasn't just a bitch to her, she was a bitch to everyone else.

Dumbledore had announced the challenge and the challengers headed into the maze. After not long, a red flare went into the sky and Fleur was fetched from the maze. Then sooner after Fleur was fetched. Krum was also fetched with the same flare going into the sky. Which at Cedric and Harry.

Harry then popped into the middle of the arena, cheers erupted in the stadium, then people realised that Cedric was.. dead. Charlotte looked horrified as she ran down, Elise trying to stop her. Charlotte and chō hugged each other tightly, obviously being close with the boy.

Soon, Cedric's father, Amos came running down. He was shoving everyone out of the way as he shouted "that's my son!" He knelt next to cedric "my boy!" Many people were shocked and some crying over the loss. Jesse didn't know how to feel, she had heard Harry say Voldemort was back which took her aback slightly. She felt bad for Charlotte, she had seen them form a friendship over the past years so she was obviously distraught about this news.

Everyone was ushered out of the area. Elise comforting Charlotte. Jesse walked with George and held onto his arm "what a day.." she mumbled slightly, George agreeing with her. Charlie walked past them both "see you in a week or so Jesse" Jesse nodded with a smile "yep! See you soon" she said back before turning back to George "oh don't get jealous Georgie~ you're the only redhead I like"

The both walked in silence and Jesse realised what she said. She didn't explain herself she just kept walking with George. George didn't know what to think about what Jesse said and in what context she meant it. However it made him happy.
