58- dealing with umbridges rules

Over the course of the next week, Umbridge continued to stick up countless rules on the entrance wall to the great hall. George didn't care about the one that stated that boys and girls should stay 8 inches apart and always grabbed ahold of Jesse's hand whenever he could.

Elise was over the moon when she found out about Jesse and George were together and Jesse coughed up the 5 gallons to Elise. They were sat in their dorm and Jesse gave Elise a wide smile "so how are you and Charlotte?" She asked the girl "oh we're good! She's coming to stay with me over Christmas break" she added.

Jesse nodded and looked out of the window "I'm staying with Lupin over Christmas.. I'm definitely not seeing dad if Katherine is with him.." she added and Elise stood up, walking over to her "well she's pig shit~" she added whilst hugging Jesse "you've still got your mom" Jesse nodded in response and hugged Elise back.

Jesse's mother never liked Katherine despite being her mom. She saw through her lies and always favoured Jesse, which may of added fuel to katherine's fire. Jesse's dad was always quick to defend Katherine, it was like her family was divided, yes Jesse didn't love her father but she couldn't see him whilst Katherine was around.

Jesse and Elise were walking down to breakfast when another decree was hammered into the wall by Filch. Many people stood as watched him do it. Jesse and Elise however ignored the event and headed into the great hall. Elise joined her HufflePuff girlfriend and Jesse joined her Gryffindor boyfriend. She sat down next to George and gave him a smile "did you notice Filch putting up another decree?" She asked him to which he nodded "yep.. it's so ridiculous"

George grabbed Jesse's hand and squeezed it under the table as they ate their breakfast, Jesse had charms first so she would depart with George until later on in the day, she packed his cheek before getting up and heading to her charms classroom, the slytherins had charms with ravenclaw which meant Jesse had to sit through Roger talking on and on about charms and spells which got quite exhausting.

She did pick to sit next to Elise however Roger being Roger decided to park himself next to the pair, Jesse tried to ignore the boy and give Elise a pleading look however he always caught her attention in his own special way.

The torture of charms was over and Jesse sighed as she left the classroom "that.. has got to be my least favourite part of the day" she spoke as she walked along the corridors with Elise "hey at least you and Charlotte can get past the 8 inches rule?" Elise nodded "I'm so glad that Umbridge is very old fashioned" she giggled as they headed to their next class.

The majority of slytherins were untouched by Umbridge's wrath and many started snitching on members of other houses who were seen breaking the rules. It seemed that Elise and Jesse were the only good two, well Thomas was there too however, Jesse and Elise hadn't seen much of him, he would talk to them in the common room and they kept mutual, they had been friends for going on 6 years so even though they had their fair few fights they still had the friendship bond.

It was also noted by the fact that Elise and Jesse were the only two Slytherins in the D.A, which a few others didn't agree with, however George and fred were soon to stand up for you and Charlotte for Elise, so many of the naysayers quietened down after the event. Jesse had heard from George that Harry had still not found a place but was still looking, hopefully one would be found soon.

George walked up to Jesse and swung his arm around her, she jumped slightly and looked up at the boy "hi Georgie bear~" she giggled and leant against him "so how's being a Gryffindor these days?" George scoffed "rubbish, Umbitch just takes away points for us being a Gryffindor" Jesse nodded and walked with Jesse "well the first quidditch match is coming up soon~" Jesse added and smirked "I'm gonna beat your butt Georgie"

He gasped and shook his head "oh no~ we're gonna beat the hell outta you Jesse" Jesse smirked and nudged George slightly "you're the one who said I play dirty" she winked at George before walking to her common room.
