75- The awful Punishment

An: so we're almost at the end of the first book for opposites attract! The second book will be starting at the start of half blood Prince after Jesse has left Hogwarts

The punishment was horrible, Jesse had already endured this writing lines punishment once already. She was sat in the great hall along with the countless other students. Some were crying and others were having full on meltdowns. Jesse carried on writing and hoped for it to be all over soon.

Blood dripped down Jesse's hand and onto the desk as words were etched into her hands. They had found out who ratted them out at breakfast that morning. It was Marietta Edgecombe, as she had sneak written on her face in giant boils across her face.

"She was going to fire my mom if she found me out, I couldn't handle it" Marietta spoke as she was confronted by half a dozen of the da members at lunch.

Jesse watched from the distance at the slytherin table, even Chō felt betrayed by her once friend, they would all have to endure the punishment except from Edgecombe who was rewarded.

Jesse clenched her eyes shut and stopped writing for a second. She calmed herself down before she continued. George glanced over at her from his table, he wanted to go over and soothe her, he wanted to hold her and tell her it would be alright. However that would have to wait.

The aftermath of the D.A being found was tragic, Dumbledore took the blame from Harry and the others and said that it was his idea, then he disappeared before the ministry could take him.

No doubt the daily prophet would be all over this story as soon as they found out. Umbridge took on the role as headmaster in Dumbledore's absence which would make things worse.

Jesse thought she would have been stripped off her head girl duties however she wasn't, maybe it was due to Umbridge taking a liking to the slytherin girl or something else, it clicked in her mind for a moment as she soon realised that Umbridge would run into her mother at the ministry who was a pure blood, even though Jesse was a half-breed she still had the pureblood genes in her system which may be why.

Everyone was released from the great hall, George went straight up to Jesse who was clutching her right hand tightly "come on love" he spoke in a soft voice as they walked off to one of the countless secret passages that George and Fred had found in the past. They sat on the steps in the closest passage they could find and George whipped out his wand and mumbled 'Ferula'

Jesse gave him a smile "my turn now.." she pulled out her own wand and performed the same charm on George's hand before kissing his cheek "you know I'm glad I have you georgie" she whispered to him with a smile "me too Jesse~" he whispered back whilst hugging Jesse tightly.
