25 - George

An: small trigger warning for mentions of assault
This chapter is a bit longer than previous ones however I wanted to progress a little without adding in filler chapters.

Jesse had explained what happened to professor McGonagall who was shocked by the incident, she allowed Jesse to take the rest of the week off so she could recover mentally, she had gone to speak to Dumbledore who sent Duncan back home and he was most likely expelled from Durmstrang.

George escorted Jesse back to the slytherin common room and stood outside the door "thank you George" she spoke quietly as she hugged the boy tightly "no problem Jess~" he kissed Jesse's forehead "get some sleep~ and I'm here incase you need me" he spoke before allowing Jesse to enter the common room. She headed back up to her dorm and fell asleep right away when she hit the sheets.

It was 3am, Jesse woke up in a sweat from a nightmare, it was about Duncan, she stood up and pulled on her robe before grabbing her wand and heading out of the common room. She thought she would just go sit somewhere or wander the halls even though the thought of getting caught freaked her out. She wished she could see George but had no clue what the Gryffindor common room password was.

She sighed and sat down in the corridor close t the Gryffindor common room, the shade from the stairs created a darkness for her to sit in without someone noticing. She just sat and cried, she cried about everything that had happened that day and she couldn't stop thinking about it.

George was heading down to the kitchen, hom Fred and lee had just pulled a prank in filch's office when he heard faint crying "hello?" He spoke out quietly. Jesse went quiet then noticed George, she stood up and ran over to him, hugging him tightly George stumbled back slightly then hugged Jesse back "hey~ you alright cupcake?" She shook her head and clung to George tightly.

George brought Jesse to the Gryffindor common room with him and sat down on one of the sofas with her. She cuddled up to him as he played with her blonde locks "I had a nightmare.. about him.." she mumbled, loud enough for George to hear, he nodded "well I'm here for you okay.." he kissed her forehead and sighed happily.

"You can stay here until the morning, then I'll walk you back before majority of the students get up" he spoke softly which Jesse nodded to in reply. She felt safe in his arms "can I come to stay with you when I'm back from Romania?" She whispered "of course you can cupcake" he smiled, Jesse giggling at the nickname he gave her.

Morning soon rolled around and Jesse hadn't slept one bit whilst she was with George. They didn't speak, they just sat there cuddling, Jesse feeling protected. He walked her back to the slytherin common room and pecked her cheek before running back to his own common room.

Jesse walked back up to her dorm and sat on her bed, snow instantly walking up to her and sitting on her lap, Jesse smiled warmly "at least you can keep me company" she said to snow whilst stroking her. She glanced over at Elise who was still sound asleep "I guess I'd have to explain to Elise what happened" she mumbled to herself.

It was a new week and Jesse was prepared to head back to lessons, even though the alone time was nice, she was itching to get back to her lessons incase she missed anything important. She had potions in the afternoon which meant 2-3 hours of George which she enjoyed. However first she had care of magical creatures which was arguably her favourite lesson.

The air was awkward due to her not speaking to Thomas after what happened between them. However she still enjoyed every second of the care of magical creatures lessons. They were doing lessons on dragons so Jesse forgot everything around her and was in her full 'Ravenclaw' mode as Elsie liked to call it. Where she would just study and not care for anything else.

The lesson was soon over and she handed the Professor her homework on the Hungarian horntail which may of been four pages long. Before she headed out of the classroom, she heard Thomas call her name but she couldn't face him right now so she just headed to potions which luckily Thomas didn't have. She sighed as she realised that Thomas had given up.

Once arrived at the potions classroom she headed in and sat down, she was particularly early due to her basically running away from Thomas. She pulled out her books and waited for her favourite redhead to turn up. He soon walked into the room and sat next to Jesse and whispered to her "hi cupcake" he said which made Jesse blush "oh shush~" she said before listening to Snape discuss what potion we were making that day.
