It had been a couple of days, Thursday. Jesse didn't eat much and just floated through the halls and through her lessons. It was like she was a ghost. She didn't think her parents splitting would effect her so much.
George had noticed this. He knew she had free periods and walked up to her, tapping her shoulder "Jesse" she turned around to face the boy in front of her which she nodded. George grabbed her hand and walked with her to the library and into the restricted section so they could be alone. He sat down and patted the spot next to him.
George opened his arms for a hug, Jesse hugged George tightly and clung to him. She closed her eyes and let tears fall down her face "Jesse, I know it's difficult.. but I'm here for you okay? You don't need to keep it to yourself" she nodded at what George said, she wiped her eyes and looked up at him "I'm sorry Georgie.. I didn't think it would affect me this much"
George chuckled "it's alright~ you're allowed to feel like this cupcake~ hey can I show you something?" Jesse sat up and nodded "sure~" George pulled out some tester products for his future shop "did you make these?" George nodded "yep! Well me and George did~ skiving snack boxes, you eat one end and for example~ this one makes you throw up, then before you're rushed to the hospital, you eat the other end and make a miraculous recovery and get off your lesson" Jesse giggled "I bet the professors will hate that" she added, smiling for the first time in a good few days.
They sat in the library for a good half an hour, a smile on Jesse's face the whole time. She felt better, Georgie had helped her feel better. "Georgie.. thank you for making me feel better" George smiled warmly "no problem cupcake~ it's my job as your best friend" Jesse smiled and hugged George again "have you been using the journal I gave you? For ideas" she asked him which he replied with a nod "I have actually, it helps me remember all the ideas I have for mine and Fred's shop"
This made Jesse smile even more "awe I'm glad Georgie" she said with a small smile "shouldn't we go before we get caught?" George chuckled "me? Get caught? Pft" he stood up and sighed "however if you want to go we can" Jesse stood up and nodded, sneaking out of the section with George before they both headed out of the library.
"Georgie~ do you think you could make me some chocolate and strawberry jam sandwiches" George nodded and pulled Jesse towards the kitchen "of course! Let's go" George started to make a sandwich for Jesse when he reached the kitchen
Jesse sighed happily "who will I get to make me sandwiches when we leave next year" Jesse said making George look up at her "oh you're right.. next year is our final year" Jesse nodded and smiled weakly "I could be going to Romania.." she added in. George handed her the sandwich "true~ but you'll still come back to see your favourite redhead right?" Jesse chuckled and nodded "of course"
George looked at Jesse and ate the sandwich he made for himself. Jesse swung her legs and smiled "I promise~ oh and I'll make sure to remind you of all the things Charlie tells me about you" George gasped "no no no~ ive already sent him an owl to make sure he doesn't tell you any dirty secrets" Jesse raised her eyebrow "that means you have dirty secrets!" She said before standing up "I'm gonna go ask Fred" George gasped "no because he'll tell you!!" He ran after Jesse, Jesse laughing the whole time.
