Trapped Part 1 (Dabi X Reader)✅

Being a member of the league wasn't as easy as everybody assumed. Though being a villain seemed like an easy path, you constantly had to make sure you weren't caught in sticky situations.

As usual this mission wouldn't be any different or so everyone thought. You and Dabi didn't get along well. He found entertainment in teasing you, so that part in your relationship was clear, nothing you two had to say to each other was nice and everything was a petty competition or sick joke. To Dabi you were the mouse and he was the predator, yet for some reason everyone thought it was wise to put the two together alone on a mission.

"Hey, how far are we from the cave?" Dabi asked, attempting to grab the map from your hands, but you pulled away quickly.

"First off, ask before you take. You shouldn't grab at things like a child. Second, I think two clicks away."

The impatient man rolled his eyes and looked back at you, "And why can't I just grab at things?" He asked, now trying to take something else.

"Because it's rude-" You simply replied walking in the opposite direction of where he was.

"Is this rude?" He teased, wrapping his arm around your shoulders then pulling you into his chest. For a moment as most would do you panicked and pushed yourself off him. You were on a mission and though revenge was tempting there were more important matters.

"I- uh" My face went red and I wasn't able to think. It was irritating how he thought he could do whatever he wanted. We had important things to do and he couldn't keep messing around like that, "Wha-" Speechless. Honestly who does he think he is?? I couldn't think, couldn't move, and most of all I couldn't oppose.

"Guess not." He nonchalantly continued walking as if nothing happened. I looked down at my map and brushed off what happened. Revenge later...it's much better when it's timely. For now I have to focus on the mission ahead.

"We're here-" I look up from my map to face the giant cave ahead of me. So intimidating. The mouth of the cave opened wide, its sharp ragged teeth like the ones in a mountain lions mouth.Though it was inanimate it could leave someone shaking, but not me, at least I tried convincing myself.
My hands balled up into fist as I mentally begged myself not to seem vulnerable. If I did Dabi would do or say something sly to poke fun at me.

"Are you coming or not." He was already in the cave with his flashlight on.

"Hey wait up!"

The dark cave had little to see as expected, rocks, bugs, and even more gross things. To be entirely truthful I didn't know why I was even here other than we were looking for some stupid old box. No one gave us much detail before heading on this mission. Our plan was to follow the map, find the cave, snatch whatever box we were sent looking for then to leave as quickly as possible.

Just as we began searching around the cave the ground underneath us started quaking. Rocks started crumbling down blocking the entrance. It was loud and powerful and all we could do was watch while trying not to get hit with falling debris.

"Hey watch out!" A boulder about the size of a textbook almost fell on the black haired villain. If I hadn't noticed early enough to save him he'd be a fly crushed by a flyswatter.
Pushing us both out the way we fell to the floor.

Before I hadn't really thought about the fact that I'd most likely end up on top of him, but now I realized it. I made an attempt to get up but before I could he pulled me to the ground and hovered over me. He's going to be the death of us and I knew it. Even in life-threatening situations he'd play his silly games while everyone else was focused on making it out alive, just because it was the two of us didn't mean anything would change. My heart's pace quickened. What was he doing? Now wasn't the time for this. He's hovering over me saying nothing.

...Maybe he's actually trying to make sure we get out this cave alive. Staying down instead of walking around could stop us from getting separated. If anything happens our supplies would be near us.

I had judged him before but what he was doing now was smart. He was keeping us safe...
