Being born into the Todoroki family was hell, yet somehow Y/n, Shoto, and their siblings lived through it pretty well. Though being Enji Todoroki's child was already difficult, being a girl was far worse.
If you were a boy, you were trained and groomed to be a leader or someone important. As a girl, you were forced to cook or clean, told to stay quiet, and worst of all they didn't need you until they decided to marry you off for political purposes.
Now that your older sister had run off with the man she loved, you were the only girl your father had. Your twin Shoto was the only one who understood how much of a double edged sword it could be. One day the duke would shower you in gifts and affection the next you were nothing but chop-liver or a burden.
One day after you finished cleaning you went to check the mail before you headed to your tutoring lessons. You set the mail on your fathers desk and headed to tutoring.
Later on when your father came home he noticed a scroll written out to the residents of the Todoroki household. It was an invite for them to go to a ball hosted by the royals. Enji Todoroki, better known as Duke Endeavor decided that only his sons would be attending. Begging to tag along though he refused, both of you were equally as stubborn as the other, but of course you lost because you're the child.
Watching as your brothers and father get ready and leave pain filled your heart. They left leaving you feeling inferior and left out.

I cried because I wanted to go. Instead of dancing I'm here sewing and cleaning. All of it was unfair. I did as father asked, I did what he did ask, I was a perfect little angel who stayed in her place. So why couldn't he just grant that one request...how could he be so heartless?
"Why are you crying?" A girl with pink skin and hair appeared out of nowhere. Her sudden appearance so shocking I'd fallen off my chair right onto the floor, "Oh,Sorry about that!" She apologized for starling me. From her voice one could tell she was bubbly and kind, I was still a bit worried not knowing who or what she was.
"It's ok." I managed to spit out getting up back into the chair.
"Oh hi by the way, I'm Mina your..." She thought for a minute. "What am I again? Oh right, your fairy godmother!"
"Fairy godmother?" I asked Mina who was claiming to be a fairy god mother. I wasn't entirely sure I could trust her yet her smile was so bright and made me feel a bit better.
"Yep!" She responded quickly, "So I heard, your father wouldn't let you go to the ball?" She asked looking down at a clipboard.
"Mhm."
"Well let's fix that, You're going to ball sis period!" Mina seemed so excited that there was nothing that could make me say no even if it was a bit of a stretch. Taking my hand and pulling me over to the closest mirror in the room, "Sooo, what dress are you thinking about?"
"Umm, I don't know." It was strange to have someone be so nice and I didn't know what to do. No one else was like this other than my siblings, not genuinely at least. Servants, peasants, and other nobles just felt pity for me or they did it because they knew how cruel my father was to people who made my unhappy.
"What about blue? It brings out your eyes!" She sang, a sparkly blue ball gown appeared in her hand, "Actually...red...no..green..nope...orange?" She continued. Purple, gold, and many other colors. With each color a new dress appeared in her hand. "Wait actually...purple! Is that good with you?" She asked snapping her fingers which put me back in a lavender purple gown.
"Yes it is, thank you." I smiled just about tired out from all the whooshing and snapping. I sit down trying to catch my breath but just then she tells me to stand back up.
"We're not done yet!"
Mina helped me with my hair, shoes, and appearance. The only problem is how was I going to get there? Before I could even voice my concern the pink haired fairy godmother summoned up a crystal carriage.
"Have fun Y/n! And the curfew is twelve am be home by then!" Mina called out waving eagerly as the carriage took me away.
When I arrived at the castle a gentleman at the door asked me for my name. I didn't know what to say, I just told him he didn't have to announce me. The doors opened and I entered the room, all the people in the room had their eyes on me I didn't understand why though.

No one recognized the beauty that stepped into the room. The moonlight hit her dress at just the right angle and that's when he saw her, glittering and delicate looking.
Prince Sero Hanta, the second he saw her he was able to tell she was a beautiful soul. He immediately felt a strong tug on his heart and he was curious to find out why this mysterious lady had caused it.
Prince Sero summoned up the strength to ask the young woman for a dance, "Um excuse me, may I trouble you for a dance?"
"Of course, your highness." She bowed, taking the hand he had offered her. The two stepped onto the dance floor and started dancing.
"I should've asked you this before but, what's your name?" Sero asked.
"My name...is not important." At first she didn't answer but after a while she gave in after he had asked a couple of more times, "Y/n-Elle"Though the name didn't sound real it was the only thing she could think of at the moment. After a few dances Todoroki asked for the opportunity to dance with her.
"Would you dance with me?" He politely asked, she agreed thinking he was just as in the dark as the others.
As they danced he had this look on his face as if he were trying to figure out what she was thinking. Under his scrutinizing gaze she began to panic.
"This Is it...I'll get caught. If he can tell then maybe father can tell, maybe everyone can. If not maybe he'll tell father or someone else will-" Y/n's hands began sweating as her mind spun however she tried to remain composed or at least look like she was. Feeling bad for causing her paranoia he finally said something.
"Y/n are you insane! If father finds out you're dead...actually I applaud you for not listening." Y/n chuckled at her brother's comment not discussing the topic any further.
After the dance Y/n was once again dancing with the prince. They continued their conversation from where it had ended, however soon they got bored, so Sero had a plan. To pull a prank or two, they started swapping things, including food items and even the decorations. Eventually after running away from the crime scenes the found themselves in the botanical gardens and ran around playfully. Time passed by so quickly Y/n didn't notice that it was already 11:50 until she heard the warning bells ring. When the clock striked she jumped and left, leaving Sero all alone.
Though he chased then searched for the graceful ghostlike lady, Y/n was nowhere to be found all he found was her heel. She ran as quickly as she could before everything transformed back, luckily she made it home minutes after the spell wore off. She went to bed exhausted from the long night she had left behind before her family came back home.
