Bright Chivaaree
Unfortunately, documents after documents had piled up in my workplace and I was buried beneath all of it, and me being frustrated with the fact that handling the business meant me not being able to bring my boyfriend to Valentine's date. Yes, today is the day that we're supposed to go out and have some alone time together, eat at a fancy restaurant while I give him a bouquet of red roses, a few wines here and there, and maybe - just maybe, an intimate night together after everything. But of course, it didn't happen how I wanted it to happen because the business needed to be catered first before my own imagination.
Parked my car on the usual spot, I turned the ignition off before grabbing my briefcase on the seat, got out and into the ground, closed the door behind me, and fidgeted with the remote momentarily before I pressed the lock button on the car key. Hearing the beep, confirming the car was successfully locked, I made my way into the entrance of the packhouse which was already dim which was what I expected.
Once inside, I quickly made my way into the stairs to climb all the way to our room and hoped that my dear mate was still awake and waiting for me - at 11 in the evening. I didn't even know if he already had his dinner, or if he waited for me to eat dinner, either way - I was utterly disappointed with myself for ruining our first Valentine as boyfriends together. This was supposed to be a wonderful occasion for lovers, but not for us, I supposed. Groaning, I found myself in front of our bedroom door, and I scavenged for the pin pad to input the code. The beep sound rang in my ears, and I unlock the door and raised my eyebrows in surprise - a delightful surprise if I may add.
It seemed that Win didn't just sleep seeing this very romantic ambiance filling our room. Countless aromatic minute candles on the floor that was formed into a heart shape dimly lit the space that I was in. The candles continued to form a small path and my eye trailed all the way to the bed with a wide grin on my face. My mind was already supplying me with a lot of wonderful notions, could it be that Win was just wearing a robe that I'd peel off later on? Or maybe, I'd find him in one of my shirts that would then flaunt his beautiful legs? Or perhaps completely naked?
Only my excitement and smile faded because my imagination and all of my delusions weren't met. With an air of dejection, Win was on the middle of the bed, wholly clothed back against mine with his hanged low making me worried.
"Win, baby?" I called out.
Startled, Win straightened himself out before turning his head to where I was to look at me. His face glistened while his irises held the flames that danced beautifully, but they were staring at me with grief making me even more worried than I already was.
"Bright!" He exclaimed, a mixture of happiness, and surprise but mostly sadness and I quickly made my way to where he was.
"What happened? Are you okay?" I asked, uneasy from all his actions and expressions. What could have happened in between his preparations for him to be saddened like this?
