The Real Truth
Series 3 Chapter 4Harry waited in the Chamber of Secrets with a glamour up. Right now he was with Hermione and Draco at the Slug Club meeting and "Chaos" was staring at the Marauders Map waiting for Dumbledore to leave the castle. About then minutes later Harry saw three dots, Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Snape, all head towards the gate then disappear off the map, meaning they'd left Hogwarts's grounds. Harry then put on a black mask and shadowed to Dumbledore's office. He was in his usual glamour. His hair was brown and hung down, out of its usual ponytail, down his back to his hips, and his skin was an olive color, instead of his pale cream, though a bit darker then his "Harry Potter" glamour.
Harry made his way over to Dumbledore's desk. Finding the bottom left Drawer where Dumbledore had pulled the ring from, Harry tried to open it, but he was surprised that it was locked.
#Alohomora# Harry hissed, with a wave of his hand.
The drawer popped open and Harry pulled it out the rest of the way. Harry ruffled through what the drawer contained and cursed under his breath, the ring wasn't there. Harry opened the rest of the drawers, finding nothing. He was about to start searching the rest of the room when he almost smacked himself in the face for being so stupid.
"Acio Gaunt's ring and Voldemort's Horcrux."
The ring came flying from its place under one of the various trinkets on the shelves. As soon as it touched his hand the door burst open with three wands pointed directly at him. Harry caught eyes with his Godfather and smirked from behind his mask. Snape showed no recognition of him on his face but his eyes were laced with it.
"Who are you?!" Dumbledore demanded.
Harry tilted his head, realizing Dumbledore would question him before attacking. That was exactly what he'd hoped for.
"It's more like, what am I..." he chuckled. His voice now much lower than it regularly was.
"Chaos." Snape said, earning a gasp from McGonagall.
"Right you are Snape." Harry said with a nod.
"Voldemort will not give you what he's promised." Dumbledore said.
Harry snorted and glared at the man from behind his mask, "The dark lord had promised me nothing. I don't care for any of that, I merely have some people I want to see dead that, coincidentally, he does too."
"You're sick." McGonagall spat.
"Actually I'm in rather good health, but thanks for the concern." Harry replied.
"You're outnumbered, put the ring down or you will be forced to." Dumbledore told him.
Harry laughed, "How can you be so sure about that Albus?"
Before Dumbledore's spell could hit him Harry shadowed out, causing his body bind to hit Fawks.
Harry appeared inside the meeting room, on the other side of the Dias where Voldemort's throne sat.
Noticing him Voldemort sighed, "Must you always interrupt my meetings?"
"The timing just always works out," he said with a shrug, "Anyway, Dumbledore says hi."
Voldemort glared at him, "Did you get it?"
"Yup." Harry walked over and handed him the ring.
"How'd the distraction go?"
"I doubt you'd want to hear of it, seeing as you do not share my view that muggles are worthless."
"We need them to grow our population-"
Harry was cut off by Voldemort waving his hand at him, "Yes, yes. Save your various backed up arguments for another time."
Harry rolled his eyes and glanced out that the Death Eaters.
"Where's Bella?"
"In the infirmary."
Harry whipped his head around, "What?!"
"Shacklebolt hit her with a particularly nasty curse before she killed him."
"Shacklebolt's dead?!" Harry asked.
Voldemort smirked, "It was a rather excellent distraction."
"Yeah, I'll hear about it later, I'm going to visit Bella."
Without even bothering to hear his fathers response Harry shadowed to the infirmary, letting down his glamour.
"Bella?" He asked.
"Hadrian?"
Harry made his way over to his voice to see Bellatrix sitting up in a bed, a bandage over her left arm, side, and head.
"What happened?" He asked.
She let out a laugh, "Shacklebolt got in a lucky shot."
Harry smiled softly.
"What are you doing here anyway? Finally gonna admit that you like me?" She teased.
Harry rolled his eyes. He'd worked with Bellatrix a lot on the cruciatus curse as well as many others. He'd grown to like the insane witch over the past few months.
"You know I care about you. Who else would threaten to crucio anyone who even annoyed me a little bit?"
She laughed again, "Got that list I asked for?"
Harry laughed, "Not yet. Sadly, we have to wait till I'm out of Hogwarts until we can torch up the Dursley's. I'll save my aunt and cousin for you, but I get my uncle."
Bellatrix's eyes showed with mad glee at the thought, "I'll kill them slowly and painfully."
Harry nodded, "Good."
Harry realized he had to go since he'd be going back in time in afew minutes so he said goodbye to Bellatrix before shadowing an empty classroom at Hogwarts. He waited, concealed in the shadows for his past self to leave before walking out.
"How'd it go?" Hermione asked.
"I got the ring, though Bella got hurt during their distraction attack." Harry said, pulling the time turner out of his pocket and handing it to Hermione.
"How?"
"Shacklebolt got in a lucky shot, but he's dead now."
Hermione seemed to be fighting between relief, and mortification.
"She'll be ok though."
Hermione just nodded and the pair made their way up to the common room.
