The Real Truth
Series 1 Chapter 5

A small girl with jet black hair cascading down over her shoulders was huddled in the corner, curled up and sniffling.

"~?" A boy's voice called out.

The girl curled up tighter, looking up as one of the big, black doors opened. A boys head peeped in and he looked around the room. He had wavey jet black hair that brushed his shoulders, pale cream skin, and Avada Kadavra green eyes. He noticed the girl in the corner and after closing the door he made his way towards her.

"~ why are you sad?"

"~... father he-" the girl choked on her words, "he was hurting that man..."

The boy sat down next to the identical looking girl.

"That man betrayed father. People who break the rules get punished. It's like what mother told us, every action has a consequence. All of father's followers know the consequence for betrayal, death."

"B-but he looked to be in a lot of pain..."

"Do you remember, last year when that man tired to kill father? Mother punished him."

"Yes... but the man deserved it."

"So did this one. You know all those books you read? How at the end the evil guy gets taken down?"

"Yeah..."

"That's what father was doing, taking down the bad man." He reached over and whipped the tears from her face.

"That man was bad...?"

The boy nodded.

"Oh..."

"Father is doing this for the greater good. We live in a world of evil, we're all trying to save it."

The girl nodded, "I remember him telling us that."

"Yeah."

"I wish I knew more, I wish I could do more... but I always end up short."

"Father and mother say we're not old enough yet, and we have to stay a secret until we're old enough to defend ourselves."

"I know, if we get found out the bad people will try to hurt us like they did father."

"Yeah... our situation may not be ideal but it's for the best for our kind."

The girl smiled, her tears long gone. "Thanks ~"

"What are brothers for?"

The girl rested her head on her brother's shoulder as the room faded away...

"He's waking up!"

Harry opened his eyes and recognized the voice of Mrs. Weasley.

"Give him space, give him space."

Harry sat up, his head spinning. It took him awhile to realize he was in the couch in the living room. Once he was fully up his head exploded and he staggered for a moment before regaining his balance. His hand shot up to his scar on reflex. Oddly enough, it didn't hurt.

"Harry are you ok?!"

Harry's head was still spinning. He closed his eyes.

"Harry what happened?" Ron's voice rang out.

"There were these kids... they- they were in a room... like a library or study.... they were talking about something......."
An image came to Harry's mind if the girl. Her long hair that waved down her shoulders to her waist like a waterfall, her sea green eyes, and pale cream skin. Harry's head burst out in pain again and he fell backwards back into the couch.

"Harry?!" Ginny yelled.

His eyes flew open as realization hit him, "It was me..." He spoke softly, "t- the boy I saw... the girl... I... I have a sister....."

The Weasleys fell silent. After awhile it was Ron who spoke.

"You have a sister?!" His voice squeaked at the last part.

"I- I think so... but... why did that happen?"

Hermione paused, thinking.
"It must be because of the Oblivio!" She concluded. "The spell locks away all memory's but preserves them. Everything you remembered when the spell was cast you should be able to remember. Memories usually come back slowly, in a few months, most in sleep but others can happened like what happen now when something triggers them. They do this since the human brain, magic or not, can't handle the sudden intake of memories."

"But what would trigger a memory of his sister?" Mrs. Weasley asked.

"... Hermione would." The twins said.

Molly looked at them.

"Hermione had said how Harry was like a brother to her-"

"And Harry said how Hermione was like a sister to him-"

"Then Hermione had said how there was a familiar feeling-"

"Like a distant memory-"

"That they knew each other before they met." The twins finished.

Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, and Molly were all staring at them when they finished. Molly was the first one to talk.

"Say this girl Harry saw was his sister and Hermione triggered that memory, wouldn't we have found out at Gringots?"

"Not if they were taken out of Gringots wizard records..." Hermione said, "Think about it, even though Harry's real parents appeared on the parchment his birth name didn't. There's no way someone like the dark lord would name his son Harry, seeing as it's a very common muggle name. So, he must've found some way to have his children removed from their system. That would explain why if Harry had a sister, her name wouldn't appear."

Harry thought for a moment. "I know I have a sister, if that boy I saw really was me. His words... 'What's a brother for?'. He- I said them to the girl..."

Harry's head was filled with unanswered questions. He had a sister. Where was she? Was she still with Voldemort? Was she adopted like him? Did she know who he was? Were her memories Oblivio'd too? Did she have any idea who she actually was? Was she even still alive?
His head was buzzing, he couldn't go to Gringots, they wouldn't have the answers he needed. There was only two people he could think of that might know what happened...

"Hermione can you tansfigure an owl?"

"Of course, why?"

"I need to send a letter." Harry got up off the couch.

Hermione's eyes widened, "Harry! No!"

"He's one of the only two people that might have the answer!"

Mrs. Weasley realized what Harry was talking about.

"Harry James Potter! I will not have you sending any kind of letter to your father! You'd be putting yourself and all of us in danger!" She told him.

Everyone finally realized who Harry was planing to send a letter to.

"But-"

"No buts! I want to help you figure all of this out, we all do, but we can't do that if you get yourself killed! You're not to reach out to your father! That's final!"

Harry stormed off.
