The Real Truth
Series 4 Chapter 7

Harry and Draco had been around the room, Lucius introduced them to high workers at the ministry that were invited as well as other families like the Parkasins, Zabinis, and Notts. Of course, Harry was well acquainted with their kids but no one knew that yet so they had to act like they still held a distaste for each other. Harry found the Longbottoms and chatted with Neville for a while before Draco dragged him away, saying they were spending too much time with just one family. Harry had been introduced to his father, who had assumed the role of an old acquaintance of Lucius's father's. During a conversation with one of the ministry workers Harry noticed that Sirius had joined the Weasleys. Harry gabbed Draco's arm and pulled him along with him, giving the man a quick apology for having to leave.

"Sirius!" Harry greeted.

"Harry!" Sirius greeted back, ruffling his hair which fell back into place almost immediately.

Harry smirked triumphantly at Sirius's raised eyebrow.

"I knew you would do that, since you always do, and it always messes up my hair so I spelled it this time." Harry told him.

Sirius chuckled, "Let me guess, Draco taught it to you."

"As a matter of fact, I did." Draco replied.

"Never mind the hair enchantments, I'm more curious about your recent engagements." Harry told his godfather, "with Severus." He added, wiggling his eyebrows.

Sirius barked a laugh at Harry's behavior, "Sorry Harry, I don't know what you talking about." He said with a smirk.

"You were dancing together. That dare did you good huh?"

Sirius chuckled and shook his head, "Well, I knew we couldn't keep it hidden forever."

"Keep what hidden exactly?" Draco asked. The others leaned in eagerly.

"Severus and I are dating. It only started last month though."

Harry gave a whistle, making everyone laugh.

"What about the werewolf?" Draco asked.

"Moony? Oh, he's with Tonks. They've been engaged for awhile now."

An awkward silence fell over them.

"Anyway, how's your guy's summer been?" Ginny asked, turning towards 'Harmony'.

"Yeah, no." Draco said, pulling Harry away towards the dance floor.

Seemingly too soon the ball came to an end. Harry still hadn't gotten Severus to admit to dating Sirius and he'd tried three times that night, the man just walked away whenever he brought Sirius up. Ginny and 'Harmony' had shared multiple dances (the twins imitating them once they realized 'Harmony' was actually Hermione) and Harry had multiple conversations with a certain business man as well as Draco's relatives 'that he'd just met'. By the time everyone had left it was ten o'clock and the group that was left moved from the ballroom to a sitting room. Sirius and Severus sat together on a couch, Harry wiggling his eyebrows at them again, getting a glare from Severus and a grin from Sirius. He sat with Draco while everyone else dropped the glamours they had put on. Hermione looked even better in her dress with her natural features, so did Bellatrix. They talked and laughed with each other throughout the night, and for once they looked like a normal family, just enjoying each other's company.
