The Real Truth
Series 1 Chapter 6

Harry sat on his mattress in Ron's room. He had a piece of parchment out and a self-inking quill ready in hand. He was debating about writing to Dumbledore or not. He was the only other person Harry could think of that might know even a little bit of information. He was blood adopted by the Potters at age four, Dumbledore also put many spell on him at that age. If he was smart enough to put the dots together -which he was- he could figure out that it was most likely Dumbledore who had taken him from Voldemort. Harry didn't know why or how but he did know that if Voldemort wanted his son dead, Harry would have been killed long before he turned four. After seeing all the different spells, potions, and blocks on him, Harry had become skeptical about Dumbledore and wasn't sure if he wanted to share that he knew about his real parents.

"Psst- Harry-"

Harry turned to see the twins in the doorway. The motioned for Harry to follow them. He quickly put away his parchment and quill walked with Fred and George to their room.

"What is it?" Harry asked once he arrived.

"Look."

Fred opened the door and George did a "tada" pose showing Harry an owl perched on the window cil.

"An owl?"

"A transfigured owl. It will become a piece of parchment again after 24 hours. If you send the letter to Malfoy Manor it will get there in that timeframe." They explained.

Harry realized what they meant.

"But- Molly said a I couldn't."

"If we listened to everything our mum said we wouldn't be opening our own prank shop after Hogwarts." Fred told him.

"Here."

George handed Harry a piece of parchment and a quill. Harry thanked him and quickly got to writing. His tried to keep his letter brief incase it got intercepted. Once he was done he gave it to the owl and it took off.

"Thanks" Harry told the twins.

. . . . . .

"My lord!"

Voldemort looked up at Lucius who had entered his study.

"What is so important that you had to disturb me Lucius?" Voldemort said venomously.

"A letter arrived..."

"Why would I care about a letter?"

"It's from Hadrian."

Voldemort's eyes widened. He quickly stood up and grabbed the letter, opening it.

"You're dismissed."

Lucius nodded and left. Voldemort sat back down at his desk and started to read.

TMR,
This morning I had a two year early creature inheritance. When I went to Gringots Bank I found out that I was adopted and my blood test results listed you as my father. I was also told that I had multiple spells, blocks, and potions placed on me at age four. Now that they are removed, my memories are starting to come back. I saw one of a boy and girl, they boy was obviously me and the girl called me her brother. So I sent this letter to ask, do I have a sister?
Your son,
Name will go unknown seeing as I do not wish to die.

Voldemort re-read the letter, a light chuckle escaped his lips. Dumbledore had failed eleven years ago to hide his son with the Potters. The only reason Voldemort hadn't reclaimed his son on Halloween night was because Dumbledore got in a lucky shot. He had managed to successfully manipulated Harry into going against him, no matter what tactic he tried Harry defied him. Now, Harry had reached out to him, he'd scratched the surface of the truth, and Voldemort was going to make sure that he knew all of it.

. . . . . .

Harry was eating lunch with the Weasleys and Hermione when a majestic owl flew though the window and landed in front of Harry. Confused Harry took the letter from the bird who flew off to wait in the window cil, obviously expecting a reply from Harry. Carefully Harry unfolded the letter and had to stop himself from gasping. His grip tightened on the letter that was form his father... how did he knew where Harry was? He had assumed Voldemort would've sent it to Gringots so they could send it to Harry... but Gringots owls weren't that well kept, and never waited for a reply. He started to read the letter.

Hadrian,
That is your birth name. Yes, you do have a sister, a twin sister in fact. Her name is Hadriel. She was taken from me the same day you and your mother were. Albus Dumbledore, who I assume placed all of the spells, blocks, and potions on you, was the one who did it. Though I would like to discuss more than that, perhaps why you think that sharing your name will get you killed? Until then.
Father

"I do have a sister." Harry mumbled, Ron however heard him.

"What?! Harry who is that letter from?"

"It's nothing Ron."

Hermione's eyes widened. "Harry... you didn't..."

He looked at her and she gasped.

"You did didn't you!? How'd you get a letter to him anyway?!"

Molly figured it out.

"Harry James Potter! We specifically told you not to contact him!"

"So what if I did?! All I asked was if I had a sister and all I told him is that I found out he was my father!"

"Molly, the boy wanted answers and he was safe about it. I think you're being a bit too harsh." Arthur said.

Molly shot him a glare and he shut his mouth, seeming to decide that his mashed potatoes were more interesting. Molly sighed.

"Maybe you're right... I just-... I don't want anything to happen to you, or any of us."

Harry nodded.

"I won't send him anymore letters behind your back..."

Harry decided not to tell them that somehow, in some way, Voldemort knew where he was... and that didn't sit well with Harry at all.
