The Real Truth
Series 4 Chapter 6

Harry was awoken by the light that was pouring in through his window, not wanting to get up yet Harry groaned and turned over, though he couldn't fall back asleep. Knowing it was still early in the day, perhaps only six or seven, Harry decided to work off his grogginess. Putting on some simple dueling robes along with his usual dragon hide boots he grabbed his wand and headed down to the training room. He spent a lot of his time there seeing as it was where he was trained by his father and the inner circle, hence the name, and even went there when he needed to work off some steam. Seeing as no one was up yet Harry dropped the outer robe. It always got in his way and he could go faster without it, though the Death Eaters, along with his father, didn't approve. They claimed that he should be practicing with the robe instead of without it since he'd be wearing one whenever they went on raids or ambushes. Normally, Harry would practice with it, but today he was just here to shake off his grogginess. He couldn't stay too long because today was the announcement ball which was due to take place at Malfoy Manor at one. Harry had a good two, maybe three hours, that is, if he skipped breakfast which always happened at eight.

Harry upped the level on the training dummies, starting with only two attacking him at once. He set his wand on top of his robes, wanting to see how far he'd get without it. As soon as the first spell flew Harry was off. He spun between the different, rapid firing, spells, focusing on dodging. He didn't see the need to raise a shield, it was just a waste of magic when you could simply dodge a spell. When he'd had enough of dodging Harry took out both dummies with a well placed "Bombarda Maxima".

Not even out of breath, Harry upped the level three more times, so they could shield spells, as well as enforced three more dummies to fire at him. The first spell fired and Harry was off, firing his own spells from the start this time. He started off with the easier spells but they eventually grew harder as he pushed himself more. Harry took out one dummy, then another. He magically upped the last three's levels and started throwing curses at them. It took him almost another minute to take down another, merely hitting it with a stunner. Harry, laser focused on taking down the last two, upped them by one more level, moving a split second before a curse could hit him. Harry twisted around the different hex's flying his way and fired his own back, hitting one of the dummies that didn't raise a shield, Harry's spells were hardly ever off target. Finally taking down the last one with the killing curse Harry stopped. He sat down next to where his robe and wand lay, covered in sweat, his breathing heavy. Harry picked up his wand, clasping it onto his holster and putting his robe back on, heading for breakfast.

Harry shadowed into the ani-chamber with Draco. They'd just gotten into their robes and had to wait there until Lucius announced them, which was due at any second. Everyone had arrived and they were all in the ballroom, awaiting the announcement of Draco's mate. Of course, most kids at Hogwarts probably knew it was Harry since they went public with their relationship but some didn't, seeing as their kids had either already graduated or were too young to go, or they didn't have any. A few moments later they heard Lucius's voice ring out through the room.

"Welcome, honored guests to my son's announcement of his mate. We have gathered here to celebrate their union, to celebrate an old tradition and a blessing from lady magic herself. With that said, it is my honor that I introduce my son, Draco Lucius Malfoy, and his mate, Hadrian Morfin Slytherin."

The doors to the ani-chamber opened. Harry and Draco locked arms and walked out together. Lucius grabbed Draco's shoulder before he stepped away. It was time for them to say something.

"Thank you, everyone, for coming." Draco began, "This may come as a shock for those of you who were not aware, but Harry and I have found out that we are each other's mates for awhile now. Though we resented each other at one point in time, we eventually grew feelings for one another. When Harry asked me to be his boyfriend, I could not even begin to describe how I felt. I know I made the right choice in saying yes that night because now I can't imagine what the last year would've been like without him. I am glad that you're all here, because now I can finally say it infront of others. I want to spend the rest of my life with him."
