Alice Culpeper
Alice stands behind the school looking at her watch, which reads 3:58 p.m. Gosh, I could get in so much trouble for this, she thinks to herself.
She knew this was a bad idea, but she just wanted a couple hours to let her hair down and forget about her stresses. Of course Alice just happened to pick her ex best friend to do so with.
Her icy blue eyes spot five figures walking towards her as her watch goes from 3:59 to 4:00 p.m.
"Hey prude, never thought I'd see you again." The brunette remarks, bringing Alice in for a hug.
"Yeah, you're lucky I let you come here after school hours Katherine," she spits out her name like poison. "Oh, and you even brought your little posse." Alice remarks, getting eyed by Katherine's friends, if she could even call them that. They were just mindless followers wanting to fit in.
"I brought presents!" Katherine holds up a putrid bag of what smells like alcohol.
"What is it?" Alice asks, already knowing the answer.
"Booze of course." She replies.
"Um.."
"It's just one drink..or a few drinks, it's alright, you gotta let go a little girl!" Katherine declared. She sits down with Alice and the five other girls in the field behind the school, various alcoholic beverages scattered around them.
"That's what you wanted me here for anyway, isn't it? To let loose?"
"I..I don't think I should.." Alice mutters quietly. The other girls laugh and one of them playfully punches her arm.
"Oh come on, don't be a prude Culpepper." Katherine pushes.
"But-"
"Drink, or I'll tell everyone at your new school about all the crazy nights with your aunt." The words sting Alice and tears prick her eyes.
"You wouldn't!" Alice accuses, "You were my best friend, I trusted you!" She shrieks, smacking Katherine in the face. Her little posse gasps and one of the girls hugs Katherine.
"I can make your life go from 100-0 pretty quick." Katherine sneers after rubbing her sore cheek.
"And I can make you bleed to badly you'll need to get another nose job." Alice retorts.
"Whatever, prude. You wouldn't break your best friend's nose, would you?"
"My old best friend. You have been dead to me for years, you're lucky I even agreed to let you trespass on school property to come 'apologize.' You think getting me all drunk will help? Well you're wrong Katherine. Very wrong."
"Alice, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm sorry. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone about your aunt Marlene.. I didn't mean to bring that up."
This was the first time Alice had seen Katherine look sincere in a long time. She wanted to believe that she was telling the truth, and was really truly sorry, but it was hard for her. However, Alice is bad at holding grudges and decided to let this one go.
"Fine whatever...I forgive you. I guess..but after today you're dead to me once more." Alice says, feeling a weight being lifted off of her shoulders.
"Okay good, now come on please have a drink with us."
"I don't want to get in trouble." Alice replies, going to stand up, when she is brought back down to the ground immediately by Katherine.
"What's the worst that will happen? You have a little fun in your life without your boyfriend for once?"
