Sorry for the short chapter, just felt as though this was necessary. Don't worry, next chapter is back to the original Prisoner of Azkaban plot.
Not much has happened in the past week. We went to classes, did homework, had a small break on the weekend, and then went to classes again. The most exciting thing that had happened was probably Ravenclaw destroying Hufflepuff, meaning we would play them next. Fred had to pay five galleons to George since he had lost the bet.

"Wake up, Lila! Wake up!"
I roll over to the other side of my bed, smashing my face into my pillow as Daphne shakes me violently. She lets out a long sigh before climbing onto my bed before using her index and middle finger to jam into my side, causing me to let out a high-pitched squeal. She giggles as I roll over and groan, finally facing her to see her gleeful grin.
"Finally, you're awake! C'mon, today's a special day!" Daphne exclaims excitedly, climbing out of my bed and dragging me along with her. I groan loudly and tiredly follow behind her, Daphne leading me into the closet and throwing me my uniform and robe.
"Hurry up and get dressed, Sleeping Beauty. Don't want to be late to breakfast!" Daphne grins, clapping her hands happily before exiting the closet, leaving me alone to get dressed. I sigh to myself as I strip, putting on my Slytherin uniform and slinging on my robe. I leave the closet once I get dressed only to be approached by Daphne once again. She grabs my rest and sets me down in front of the vanity, clasping her hands together as her smile only widens.
"Since today has special circumstances," Daphne starts, "I think it's only fair I do your hair and makeup. Don't worry, I won't go over the top or anything, just more makeup than you usually wear and your hair will look nice." I shrug my shoulders, allowing her to "beautify me", as she calls it, as she lets out a giggle and starts to apply makeup.
After she's done she finally allows me to look at myself in the mirror. As I turn around in my seat, I stare at my reflection for a long moment.
My hair was in a high ponytail, the two strands of hair in front of my face, a green hair tie holding it up. I had heavy blush on my cheeks, pink, glittery lip gloss coating my lips. Black mascara was noticeable on my eyelashes, making them look much longer than they already are. Black eyeshadow covers my eyelids, but not too much since I had told Daphne I didn't like eyeshadow.
"Now let's get breakfast before there's none left." Daphne says before grabbing me by my wrists and pulling me down the steps outside of the dormitory and through the common room as we exit. We walk down the corridors, Daphne practically bursting with excitement, before we finally enter the Great Hall together.
We both go and make our way over to the Slytherin table, Daphne sitting down beside Blaise and me sitting down next to Malfoy across from the couple. Blaise and Malfoy were already eating, Blaise saying a good morning to the both of us but Malfoy not even bothering. I start to put myself food as I steal a quick glance up at Daphne, only to see her shaking happily with a large grin on her face. I roll my eyes and shake my head, signaling her to not say anything, but it seems as though she either didn't get the hint or didn't bother to acknowledge it.
"Today is Lila's birthday!" Daphne blurts excitedly. I close my eyes, annoyed, and shake my head as I mentally face palm before reopening them. I see Malfoy roll his eyes as Blaise nods to Daphne, stuffing more pancakes in his mouth. I shoot Daphne daggers with my eyes as she just shrugs.
"What? I couldn't keep it in any longer! You're finally fourteen and that makes you, like, an official young adult. It makes you all cool and crap. I turned fourteen in October, and look at how mature I am." Daphne states, pushing her shoulders back and pointing her chin up high trying to act mature. Blaise grins at this as Malfoy scoffs and I just shake my head with a small smile.
