I spent the rest of Christmas break at home. Ronald wrote a few letters to me, asking where I was and why I wasn't at Hogwarts. I told him all about the gala and how I'm staying home for Christmas break. He mentioned some things about Harry getting an Invisible Cloak for Christmas and how they went into the Restricted section in the library with it and overheard Snape and Quirrell talking. He told me about a mirror and how he thinks it can predict the future. I found all of this quiet odd, but it's nothing irregular for Hogwarts.

I was on the Platform with my luggage standing next to Smiley. Mother and Father could not come to say goodbye, so Smiley apparated me here instead. He waved goodbye and then left, leaving me standing alone.

I get on the train and go searching for a seat, seeing the whole train is full with students returning back from the holidays. I finally see an empty compartment and sit inside of it, letting out the breath I didn't know I was holding.

After a few moments of sitting alone, I hear a knock on the window. I turn to see Daphne, Blaise, and Malfoy all standing there, Daphne waving at me hello. I gesture for them to come in, so they do. Daphne sits down next to me while the boys sit across from us.

"Hello Lila! How was your holiday?" Daphne asks me. I rest my head on my hand, tired from spending all last night doing the homework I pushed off until the end of break.

"Fine. You?" I ask her. She smiles large and folds her hand together.

"It was spectacular! Blaise and his Mum came to visit and I got loads of presents!" She announces excitedly.

Malfoy rolls his eyes while Blaise just sits back in his seat. I smile at Daphne to show I care, even though I didn't. She smiles back happily, and I turn to face the two boys.

"What about you two?" I ask them both.

"Amazing. I got at least a hundred presents." Malfoy brags, smirking. I roll my eyes and pay my attention to Blaise.

"What about you, Blaise?" I ask him. He shrugs.

"It was fine. I hung out with Daphne, which was pretty cool. I hung out with Astoria, which was also pretty cool." He says. I nod, showing that I'm listening.

The rest of the train ride was silent. I leaned my head against the window and took a nap, so I didn't know if the others talked or not.

We finally arrived at Hogwarts. It was pretty late at night, so I skipped dinner and went straight to the dorms. Before I could even get to the common room, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me aside.

"Lila!" Ronald says, pulling me into a hug. I hug him back, confused. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks, knowing I was probably blushing. I smile and notice Harry standing there watching us, so I quickly pull away. Ronald clears his throat as he pulls away. I hug Harry awkwardly and we pull away quickly.

"Hello Harry." I say. He nods at me as a hello. I pay attention to Ronald as he starts to talk, breaking the awkward silence.

"We wanted to show you the mirror we were talking about." He says. I smile and nod, and they take me to a large room with a mirror leaning on the wall. Harry slowly walks up to it.

"In the mirror, I see my parents and I." He explains. I nod, confused.

"But, aren't your parents...dead?" I ask him nervously. He nods, keeping eye contact with the ground, and steps away from the mirror. Ronald steps up to it eagerly.

"I see myself as Head Boy. I won the Quidditch cup and I'm Quidditch Captain!" Ronald exclaims. I let out a small chuckle as I walk towards the mirror.
