It was two weeks after holiday, two weeks after Hermione turned into a cat because I grabbed Millicent cat's hair instead of hers instead. She was now in the Hospital Wing, trying to be transformed back into a human again. Harry, Ronald, and I were all carrying books in our arms from the library, so we can give them to Hermione for her studies.
I promised her I'd be joining her, so I grabbed a few extra books myself. We made our way over to the Hospital Wing, as we make our way over to Hermione's bed. It was covered in books, which is very Hermione-like.
"Oh, good. Put those anywhere." Hermione tells us. We look around her bed to see where to put them, but there was no empty room. So we just dropped them on the ground. Hermione laughed at this, as I sat on her bedside.
"Madam Pince asked that we relay a message to you, Hermione: She'd appreciate it if you'd at least leave a few books left for the rest of the school." Ronald asks, making Hermione laugh. I smile at his joke and turn to face Hermione.
"I've got to keep up, haven't I?" Hermione asks him. He rolls his eyes at her as a tail twitches into view for us all to see. I try not to let out a laugh.
"Is that thing ever going to go away?" Ronald asks her, staring at the tail. She shrugs at him.
"Any day now, according to Madam Pomfrey. I'm just thankful I've stopped coughing up fur balls." Hermione states. I look at her with a serious face.
"Trust me, Hermione, we are all glad you stopped coughing up fur balls." I joke, making her let out a small laugh.
"Now, any new leads on the Chamber of Secrets?" Hermione asks eagerly. Harry shakes his head.
"Nothing."
"And has it gotten any better? I mean... has anyone spoken to you two?" Hermione asks Harry and I. I shake my head no, while Harry just shrugs.
"Neville asked to borrow a tubeworm in Potions yesterday, so I guess that's something." Harry says. Hermione looks at me expectedly.
"Anything?" She asks me. I shake my head.
"No. Not anyone who isn't congratulating me or doesn't believe I didn't do it, which is very few. Only you three, Daphne, Blaise, and the rest of the horrible, prejudice Slytherins." I tell her. She nods at me as Ronald takes a get well card from underneath Hermione's pillow.
"To Miss Granger. Wishing you a speedy recovery, from your concerned teacher Gilderoy Lockhart." Ronald reads. He looks up at Hermione and gives her a confused look.
"You sleep with this under your pillow?" He asks her, disgusted. She shakes her head and snatches the card back from him.
"Of course not. I don't know how that got there. Now go. I still have six hundred pages to read in Transformation Through the Ages." Hermione declares, obviously embarrassed. Harry was the first one to dash out the door, as I pulled Ronald along with me.

We were in the second floor corridor, walking back from visiting Hermione in the Hospital Wing. I was walking in between Ronald and Harry as Ronald was going on a rant about Lockhart. The whole time Harry and I were giving each other looks.
"I know Hermione's mental, but can you believe she falls for that smarmy nonsense of Lockhart's?" Ronald asks, clearly annoyed. I rolled my eyes at him and face him.
"Why do even care so much? Let Hermione be mental, every other girl in the school falls for him." I tell him. Ronald shakes his head at me.
"Not every girl. You, for example, aren't as mental as the girls in this school." Ronald says, emphasizing on the word as. I laugh a little at this and could feel the blush rushing to my cheeks.
