Toni POV
"Babe, I'm home", Toni calls from downstairs, knowing that her wife is probably located in their bedroom. She awaits a response but the only sound she hears is the wind blowing through the trees next to thislehouse.
"My babygirl is probably fast asleep", Toni thinks to herself.
She makes her way into the kitchen and decides to make some hot chocolate for Cheryl for when she wakes up.
Toni knows these last few days have been hard on Cheryl, she's barely had any sleep and her back has been bothering her immensely. The baby could be here any day now, so making Cheryl comfortable and keeping her calm is Toni's own-assigned duty.
She grabs the hot chocolate and starts climbing the stairs soundlessly, making sure not to wake Cheryl. The door is slightly ajar, a crack just big enough for Toni to see her beautiful wife, fast asleep.
She pushes the door open with her left hand and swiftly slips through it. After placing the hot chocolate on her nightstand she sits down on the bed and looks at Cheryl. She smiles, seeing her precious wife like this, knowing they will soon have their own little family.
Toni moves a stroke of red hair out of Cheryl's face and then carefully leans in to place a kiss on her forehead. Cheryl slightly shifts and slowly opens her eyes, looking up at Toni.
"Hey princess, did you sleep well"? Toni asks after kissing Cheryl on the lips. "I did babe" Cheryl whispers, giving Toni a grateful smile.
Cheryl tries to sit up, but gets interrupted by a heavy pain in her lower back, she lets out a silent scream and a tear rolls down her cheek.
"Oh my god, Cheryl are you okay" Toni immediately grabs Cheryl's arms and hugs her tightly, careful not to hurt Cheryl or the baby in any way. "I'm fine TT really" Cheryl cries with a muffled voice hugging Toni firmly back.
"I've been having some more intense cramps today" Cheryl finally says after a few minutes of the couple just holding each other. Toni looks into her eyes and holds one of Cheryl's cheeks in her hand. "We'll get through this together all right my love. I will be with you when you give birth and I'm not leaving your side".
Cheryl chuckles softly, "I know babe, thank you so much for caring about me, I truly love you so much". "I love you too, so much my Cherbear".
Toni leans forward and pecks Cheryl's lips. "I'll go make dinner, you stay here and watch some shows and I'll join you in half an hour". "Sounds great TT"

(Later that night)
After cleaning the dishes and doing some of their never ending pile of laundry Toni joins Cheryl back in bed. It's only 8:00 pm but the couple loves to just snuggle in bed, watch Netflix or talk.
Cheryl has her head rested on Toni's chest, her steady breaths filling the room with a serene ambiance. It's a beautiful moment.
After a few more minutes Toni feels her eyes getting heavier and she slowly drifts off into a deep sleep, feeling Cheryl's body pressed against hers.
It's only when she hears Cheryl moan that she opens her eyes abruptly. "Are you okay Cher"?
"TT, please...no I'm not....it hurts so bad"
Toni immediately sits up and looks at Cheryl. Her cheeks are wet with tears glistening in the moonlight. "Oh Cher, do you think the baby is coming"? "I don't know TT....I..I think so", Cheryl groans, biting her lip hard.
