"Let's pop these in the oven shall we?" Cheryl said as she held the tray with cupcakes in her right hand as she opened the oven with her left.Toni looked at the cupcakes from behind the glass one last time before focusing on the recipe again. "Okay great, so our next step is....the icing."
Cheryl and Toni had agreed to do a fun date night every Friday. This week they decided to stay in, bake cupcakes, watch a Christmas movie to get into the holiday spirit and perhaps enjoy a nice bath together.
"My favourite part." Cheryl replied as she grabbed a clean bowl from the cupboard and smiled at her girlfriend. As much as she loved going out with her lover to a fancy restaurant or a mesmerising spa, a cozy date night at home would still be her first choice.

"Oh babe, you have some cream cheese on your nose, let me just..." Toni pressed a dollop of cream cheese to Cheryl's nose with her finger and made sure it got everywhere.
Cheryl let out a high-pitched scream as she felt the cold creamy cheese on her nose and her cheeks. "TONIII....you did not."
"Oh but I did." Toni laughed as she looked at Cheryl who was still in shock. "Here let me take it off." Toni held Cheryl's arms still and leaned in to gently kiss her girlfriend on her nose.
Cheryl giggled and lifted her head a little to connect Toni's lips to her lips instead. She could taste the cream cheese in her mouth as they both gently and slowly moved their lips against each other.
"What the hell are you guys doing?"
Cheryl and Toni almost choked as they heard the voice of a man close to them. Julian was standing in the door opening with a look of disgust on his face and a questionable glance in his eyes.
Toni quickly wiped her mouth clean with the back of her hand as she looked at her girlfriend's twin brother. She didn't know what to say and waited for Cheryl to talk.
"We're uhmm...we're making cupcakes. Do you want one, they'll be ready in a few minutes." Cheryl sounded a little insecure as she looked between her brother and the cupcakes in the oven. She then quickly wiped her face clean with a tissue as she realised that she looked like a toddler who helped her mom in the kitchen.
"Shut up Cheryl, don't act like I'm stupid." Julian sounded like he was angry, his cheeks were a light shade of pink and he kept his eyes directly on his sister as he spoke.
Cheryl shook her head. "I'm not...I...I promise."
"Your tongue was inside of that snake's mouth." Julian pointed at Toni, he looked at her like she was nothing more than an insect.
Toni's eyes grew wide, she couldn't believe that Cheryl's brother was actually acting so repulsive. "Uhmm excuse me, don't call me that." Toni took a step forward and one to the side. Even though this boy was Cheryl's own brother, she didn't trust him and felt the need to protect her girlfriend.
Julian huffed and completely ignored Toni. "It's gross Cheryl."
Cheryl gently pushed her lover to the side a bit and took a big step forward. "Don't you dare speak such foul words about my girlfriend."
"Oh so you're a lesbian now?" Julian smiled liked the question he asked was ridiculous and hilarious to him.
Cheryl panicked a little. She wasn't ashamed of who she was or who she liked, but saying it out loud was still rather scary. Especially since she knew her brother was extremely homophobic and wouldn't ever support her. "Yes...yes I've always been a lesbian." She finally said after a few seconds of building up the courage.
