Toni is at work when she gets an important phone call from her wife
*fluff
-"Hey Toni."
"Hi babe, what's up?"
"Babe don't freak out, but my water just broke and I'm starting to have contractions......I think the baby is coming."
"You're what? Oh my god Cheryl that's....wow...but isn't it too early? Did you call the doctor? Are you alone? Where are you?"
"TT, don't worry. I called the doctor and he said that it's fine, I'm only a week early...and don't worry, Betty and Veronica are already on their way."
"Okay okay good uhmm...I'm on my way...I'll be there as fast as I can okay."
"Okay TT....I can't wait...ouch...I can't wait to meet our little boy or girl."
"You sure you're okay Cher?"
"I'm fine babe, just having light contractions, but they're.....uncomfortable you know."
"Okay, I'll be there as fast as I can okay my love?"
"Yes, but drive safely though."
"I will, I love you."
"I love you Toni."

Toni grabbed her phone and put her coat on in a rush as she looked around the bar for her boss Jarred. There were a few customers sitting at a few random tables, but overall it was a lot quieter than usual on a Friday night.
She spotted him eventually near the exit and made her way over to him. "Hey Jarred, I'm sorry, but I have to go home. My pregnant wife is having contractions and she thinks the baby is coming."
"Holy shit Toni that's huge, but I thought she wasn't due for another few weeks?" The tone of his voice expressed excitement, but the look on his face confused Toni. He wasn't very...happy at all.
"She's 39 weeks yes, but you know sometimes they come early." Toni was slowly making her way to the exit, hoping she could leave to be with her wife soon.
"Ahh right uhm.....I'm afraid I can't let you go Toni, you're my only employee for the night." Jarred said without much empathy left in his voice.
Toni's mind was completely blank for a moment as she heard the words come out of her boss's mouth. "I...what? I can't leave? But you're right here."
"Yes, but I am meeting up with my best mate in like half an hour. I told you about it like two months ago, don't you remember?" Jarred said as if he actually enjoyed this conversation. He wanted Toni to remember that he plannend this a whole two months ago and that therefore he was entitled to go.
Toni was starting to get frustrated as she realised this wasn't just one of Jarred's sick jokes. "Then lock up the place."
"You know I can't do that Toni, we're a business and we..."
"I don't care." Toni was starting to lose her temper, she never liked Jarred much, but she only figured out now how pathetic this man actually was. "My wife, who is almost nine months pregnant, is about to give birth, I can't stay here Jarred."
"You ain't the dad though right." The customer Jarred was previously talking to suddenly said to her.
Toni huffed. "Excuse me?" She had gotten used to homophobic comments from customers. Once they were a little tipsy and discovered about Cheryl, her 'wife', they gladly shared their inappropriate opinion about her relationship. "You know what...I'm gonna go. This is ridiculous, my wife's waiting for me at home...so I'll see you whenever Jarred."
