"Oh I'm so nervous. What if he didn't enjoy himself. You know how sensitive he is." Cheryl said as she looked at the school building they were parked in front of.

Toni smiled and rolled her eyes before placing a hand on her wife's leg. "Babe, he's literally four years old. He gets to play with cars and dolls all day, so I'm sure he's doing fine."

Cheryl looked at her wife who was sitting behind the drivers wheel. "You're probably right, I'm just worried you know."

"I know you are and that's okay. This is a new chapter in all of our lives, so it's very understandable that you need some time to adjust." Toni reassured her wife.

Cheryl nodded and leaned in for a quick peck on the lips. "Love you."

"I love you too." Toni said before opening the door of the vehicle. "Let's go get Kyle."

"Right, I'll just wait right here for you guys." Cheryl said as she leaned against the red convertible, taking her phone out of her jacket for some entertainment while Toni got their son.

Toni winked at her wife. "See you in a minute."

Cheryl blew a kiss with her hand in Toni's direction, trying to maintain the traditions they started as teenagers. She watched Toni for a few seconds and admired her elegant dark brown locks of hair.

As Toni finally disappeared out of her sight she decided to scroll through her Instagram to kill some time. A cute video of some puppies popped up on her feed immediately capturing her attention.

Cheryl's eyes were fixated on the screen when she suddenly heard the sound of someone clearing their throat right next to her. She looked up, not expecting to see a woman standing so close to her and looking right at her.

"Hi, is there something I can help you with?" Cheryl asked after a few seconds of staring at the woman in silence.

"Yes, I would love to know who you are." The woman said with confidence in her voice. She didn't exactly sound very friendly, but it seemed an innocent question still.

Cheryl was slightly taken off guard by the sudden directness. "My name's Cheryl Blossom." Cheryl paused for a moment before further explaining herself. "My wife and I just moved to Riverdale with our five year old son....and we've just come here to pick him up from his first day."

The woman slowly nodded her head, she was certainly not impressed. "Well my name is Nathalie and my daughter goes to school here as well."

"Ohh cool. Well nice to meet you." Cheryl said as she stretched out her arm to shake Nathalie's hand.

Nathalie looked at Cheryl's red painted nails for a split second, but didn't move. There obviously was another reason why the woman, she was probably in her fourties, had come up to her. Cheryl could see it in her eyes.

"So what brings you here to Riverdale?" Nathalie said, completely ignoring Cheryl's gesture.

Cheryl narrowed her eyes a bit in an attempt to understand what the woman was trying to achieve. Nevertheless she answered the question like she wasn't doubting Nathalie's intentions. "My wife got a new job here in town, so we moved from Chicago. It's all been pretty stressful, especially with a five year old."

"Mmm I'm sure. So you said your wife has a new job, I see." Nathalie scrunched her eyebrows together when she mentioned the word wife. "So, don't get me wrong I'm just curious, but isn't it a little selfish to have children when there is no dad involved." Nathalie said, with a little grin on her face now. It was obvious that she had been planning to make a remark about the couple's lifestyle from the very beginning.
