*Cheryl writes this in her diary
Toni and I are in Hawaii right now for our 6 year anniversary of being together. At first I thought it was a little excessive to spend so much money on a vacation. Moreover we went to Italy last year for our 5 year anniversary and 6 didn't seem like a particularly special number.
However Toni reminded me of the fact that we had to hide our relationship for 3,5 years and that it was more than appropriate to celebrate our love a little extravagantly.
And for that exact reason I fell in love with Toni. She doesn't care about rules or standards or opinions. If she thinks something is right, she will do it with full confidence. She never regrets anything, because even if she didn't like the experience she still values the learning lesson. She is the most positive being in my life.
We've been dating since we were 18 and we're 24 now. I know that we're still young and that a lot of things can and will change in the next couple of years. However, one thing I do know is that Toni and I will forever be together. After all we've been through together and everything we have faced together, there is absolutely no way I'm going to do this life without her by my side. She is my best friend, my soulmate and the love of my life.
So for all of those reasons I'm asking Toni to be my wife tonight. It's a big step and the thought of getting married is still absolutely insane to me, but nothing in my life has ever felt so right before.
Toni loves the beach, so my plan is to take her on a cute little picknick date when the sun is setting. After that I hope she'll want to walk with me for a bit. There's this place with these big rocks on the shore and it's usually very calm, so perhaps if we're lucky we'll have the place to ourselves.
I have thought about arranging a special dinner and a photographer who could capture the moment, but I know that this is something just for us and I don't think it would make the moment more special.
I can't believe I am actually doing this tonight. I am asking Toni to be my wife, what in the actual...

It's around 9 pm
"Wow TT, you look absolutely stunning." Cheryl said to her 'for-now-still-girlfriend' as she walked out of the bathroom. Toni was wearing an emerald green dress, it was knee length and accentuated her chest area nicely. Her lips were shiny and her hair was half up and half down.
Toni smiled before pouting her lips. "Thank you Cher. And you look gorgeous." Toni said as she scanned Cheryl from top to bottom.
Cheryl was wearing a long black dress with a slit on one side and an open back. Her wavy red hair was put up in a bun, except for a few tufts of hair. Around her neck she was wearing a necklace with a little key on it. It was a necklace Toni gave to Cheryl about 5 years ago and it represented courage and strength. In Toni's words 'with that key, anything can be opened.'
Cheryl always believed that with that key Toni opened her heart and that it saved her life. Toni saved her life.
They pecked each other on the lips before heading out the door. Cheryl carried a small bag with a picknick blanket inside, a packet of oreos because they both loved them and Cheryl didn't feel the need to buy anything too expensive, a small bottle of sweet white wine and of course, most importantly, the ring.
They walked for only 5 minutes when Cheryl found the best picknick spot. It was close to the water, but not too close. People were walking by behind them, but the ambiance was chill and calm. Just the sound of small waves crashing down on the earth below.
