Cheryl and Toni have an argument.

"She needs her freedom Cheryl. She's 15 years old and wants to experience life. You can't take that away from her." Toni slightly raised her voice at her wife.Cheryl rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I just...I don't want her to get pregnant or anything."
That's a weak excuse, Toni thought to herself. Their daughter was more sensible than that. "You know she won't Cheryl. And for the record, we were almost the same age when we started dating."
"Yes well in case you forgot, we are both women and can't get each other pregnant. So that's completely different." Cheryl's cheeks were red and tears were visible in her eyes. She hated fighting, especially with Toni, it wasn't in her nature.
"That's not the point Cheryl." Toni was getting angrier by the minute as she listened to her wife's stupid reasons. "This isn't just about sex and getting pregnant. It's about creating new connections and for her to explore who she is as a person. Why don't you get that, she's not a little girl anymore." Toni huffed and took a sip of water in order to calm herself down.
"I don't...I don't know Toni, I just want to protect her." Cheryl stammered. Tears were rolling down her cheeks as she avoided eye contact with her wife.
Toni hated when Cheryl was upset, but she wasn't going to agree with her beliefs. Not this time. "You don't have to cry babe, we're just having a conversation."
"Yes I am trying Toni, but as you know I'm an emotional person. I can't help it." Cheryl snapped back at Toni. She wiped the tears from her face, but it was useless as they just kept coming.
Even though Toni was annoyed with Cheryl, she realised that it would only upset her more if they continued this conversation right now. Which would eventually lead to nothing.
After a minute of silence Toni spoke again. "Okay, let's pause this conversation right now and continue when we've both calmed down, because this is just ineffective."
"Okay." Cheryl said softly without looking at her wife.
Of course, after being with Cheryl for almost 13 years she could read her wife's body language like a pro. When Cheryl distanced herself from her and refused to look at her, what she actually wanted, was attention.
"Come here baby." Toni put her hand on Cheryl's arm and gently caressed her skin.
Cheryl shook her head and looked down at the ground.
"Like hell you're not going to give me a hug right now." Toni grabbed both of the redhead's arms and pulled her towards her, embracing her in a tight hug.
One of Toni's hands was on the back of Cheryl's head as she held her firmly against her own body. Just like she expected, Cheryl cried.....loudly. Toni placed a few kisses on her wife's shoulder and caressed her head as she waited for Cheryl to stop crying.
"It's tough being a mom huh." Toni said after about 10 minutes when Cheryl had calmed down.
Cheryl hummed and let her head rest on Toni's shoulder.
One of the greatest things about their relationship was, that no matter how big their fight or how mad they were at each other. They would always make sure that they would end the conversation with a hug or a kiss or sometimes even sex. Because in the end their love was stronger than any argument or misunderstanding and they both found it incredibly important to never part ways before making up and showing each other love.
"Can I get a kiss?" Toni asked.
Cheryl lifted her head up from Toni's shoulder and innocently looked into her wife's eyes. "Yes, you may have your kiss."
