Toni saves Cheryl from her deranged mother, however, something bad happens.
*Fluff
-It was 00:39 AM and Cheryl was sitting in her room with the lights off and a chair barricading the door. She had been trying to text and call Toni for the last 10 minutes, but had not yet received a response.
After waiting for Toni to pick up the phone, Cheryl left a message. "Toni please pick up and uhmm call me back. Toni please it's an emergency....I really need you. My mom she...she's like drunk and out of her mind. Please just call me back."
Cheryl was desperate. She needed Toni to call her back and get her out of that house right now. Her mother had been drinking and had been taking her anger out on Cheryl. There were deep, red scratches on her left cheek and several dark bruises on her inner arm and around her neck.
After another 10 minutes, Cheryl started to become frustrated. Thick tears were spilling from her eyes, making the wounds on her face sting. "Toni please, you have to come get me. Please call me back."
Cheryl was about to throw her phone to the side and have a complete meltdown when she saw Toni's name pop up on her screen. It said: "Call me. I'm on my way. I'll be there in 10."
Cheryl quickly wiped the tears from her chin as she clicked on Toni's name to call her. She only had to wait about half a second for her girlfriend to pick up.
"Baby I'm so so sorry, I was in the shower. I'm so sorry, but I'm on my way right now okay. I'm coming don't worry." Toni's sweet and mature voice sounded from Cheryl's phone.
"Okay, just hurry." Cheryl cried. "But...but don't use the front door. My mom..she's somewhere and I don't know what or how...."
Toni cut Cheryl short. The fact that her girlfriend sounded this upset, definitely indicated that something very serious had happened. "Don't worry my love, I won't use the front door, but I promise I'll get you out of that house."
"Okay okay." Cheryl tried to take deep breaths as she listened to Toni's soothing voice. "But..just don't hang up please."
Cheryl could hear the sound of a motorcycle in the back as she kept the phone plastered to her ear. She only dared to whisper, as she was afraid of her mother overhearing her. "Of course I won't hang up babe." Toni reassured her.
After a few more minutes the sound of a motorcycle vanished in the background, meaning Toni had arrived. "I'm here babe. I just parked my motor behind the fence and I'm now walking to your house."
"Okay, I...I will open my window." Cheryl tiptoed from her bed to the largest window in her room. This window was located on the right side of the house and wasn't within sight of her mother's bedroom.
Toni walked to the side of the house and saw a figure leaning out of the window. She waved at her. "I can see you Cher, but how are you going to get down?" Toni whispered into the phone as it was probably best not to shout.
"Look." Cheryl said as she pointed to the drain-pipe next to the window. "I'll use that."
"I don't know babe. You'll have to be very careful." Toni said with caution in her voice. Even though Cheryl was a cheerleader and quite flexible, she didn't like the idea of her girlfriend climbing down a drain-pipe from the third floor.
"I know." Cheryl put her phone in her pocket and gently climbed onto the windowsill. However, as she grabbed the drain-pipe with her left hand, she could hear several hard knocks on her bedroom door.
"Shit, shit, shit." Cheryl muttered to herself as she hastily looked down at the ground and back to the drain-pipe again.
"Cheryl what's going on?" Toni said, this time she wasn't speaking in the phone anymore. "Hey, slow down. Babe be careful."
