"Of course she wouldn't miss the opportunity to see Josie and the Pussycats perform live at the White Wyrm after more than 7 years." Cheryl thought to herself as she was getting ready for the evening.

However Josie wasn't the only one she would be seeing tonight. She knew for a fact that Toni would be there too. The Wyrm was still her domain, since she was serpent queen and in charge of the bar.

After searching for an outfit that would fit the occasion, Cheryl decided on a cute black with pink bustier, that made her breast particularly 'visible', a red skirt and red high heels.

Cheryl was well aware of the outfits she had been wearing over the past few months. Deep down she knew she was still trying to impress the girl she felt like she had completely lost after that misbegotten key party. The way she dressed made her feel more confident and that was exactly what Cheryl needed when she was around Toni.

The Wyrm was packed with people who were all there to see Josie and the cats perform again after many years. To see the girl that fled out of Riverdale and became a famous star.

Cheryl had made sure to leave as little space as possible in between Toni and herself. With only Kevin and Archie separating them, she could listen closely to Toni's words, the familiar voice she still dearly cherished. When she heard Toni talk about her pregnancy and that she was now a week overdue, Cheryl felt a little worried, there was no denying she wasn't, of course she still cared deeply about the girl she once called her own. Seeing her like this holding her stomach made her feel like she missed a chapter of her own life, like this was never how it was supposed to go.

Cheryl couldn't help but envy Veronica, who was sitting so close to her ex-girlfriend and was having an actual, friendly conversation with her. She looked away and focused on the stage where the Pussycats were about to perform, trying to distract herself from the painful truth. She was still in love with Toni and she was absolutely certain that she would never stop loving her.

After waiting for a few minutes Josie and the Pussycats entered the stage and opened the night with a bang, leaving the audience flabbergasted. Soon, everyone was impudently singing and dancing to the lyrics they could all recite, letting their inner animal come out.

Cheryl could honestly say that she was thoroughly enjoying herself and that it had been a long time since she partied with the people she once called her friends.

However, once every few seconds Cheryl couldn't ignore the urge to glance to her right and see Toni singing and clapping while she remained seated, "she is absolutely stunning", Cheryl thought to herself.

When Josie and the Pussycats finished their song, everyone sat down again, trying to catch their breath and calm down.

Everyone was whispering among themselves when Josie once again took the stage, letting them know that the night was far from over. She told everyone that the song she was about to perform was dedicated to her father, who had only recently passed away.

Cheryl could hear the hurt in Josie's voice and knew exactly what she was going through. Experiencing the pain of losing someone close was something Cheryl had endured multiple times now. It creates a void that can never be filled again.

The song that Josie sang though was beautiful and made everyone in the room go completely silent. They all attentively listened to Josie's divine sound, it really touched Cheryl right in her heart and brought tears to her eyes.

That was until she heard a strange sound coming from her right and Josie stopped singing, "Toni?" She heard Josie say, which immediately made her heart beat faster.
