Cheryl has an accident and Toni takes care of her.
*Fluff
-"Are you all right? You look more pale than usual." Toni said to her girlfriend after they arrived home from school. She had kept a close eye on her all day and had noticed how Cheryl's mood had changed from happy to sad and distant in the matter of a few hours.
Normally Cheryl would roll her eyes at a comment like that, but today she didn't find the strength from within to appear bothered. Moreover, her girlfriend was probably right. She wasn't feeling too well. "I think I might just need a nice hot shower." The redhead said as she placed her heavy bag down on the counter.
Toni nodded, "yeah that's a good idea I think. Anything I can help you with?" She asked the redhead who was already on her way to the bathroom.
"No it's okay babe." Cheryl said calmly. She looked over her shoulder, but barely made an effort to make eye contact.
Toni decided to wait for Cheryl in their bedroom, right next to the bathroom, in case she changed her mind and needed anything. Also, she was quite exhausted herself and just wanted to lay down on the bed for some time. Enjoy her free time before going to work in a few hours.
She stared at the ceiling with no thoughts in her head. Feeling too drowned to actively think about anything. Her eyes were getting heavier by the minute as she listened to the sound of water splashing against the tiles. No worries. No problems. Everything was peaceful.
At least, for a few minutes.
The brunette's eyes shot wide open when she heard a sudden loud 'boom' coming from the room next to her. Before she even realised what was going on Toni was already on her feet and on her way to the bathroom. "CHER?" Toni called, raising her voice.
No response came from Cheryl so without hesitating she opened the door. Instantly feeling relieved that they had agreed to keep the doors unlocked at all times. Her eyes were immediately pulled towards dark red hair quite close to the floor. Cheryl was laying against the glass shower wall in a very uncomfortable position it seemed with her arms hanging loosely next to her naked body.
"Oh my god Cheryl." Toni yelled as she ran to the shower and turned it off. She knelt down and wiped all of Cheryl's hairs out of her face. "Hey hey hey." Toni lightly shook her girlfriend's shoulder in an attempt to bring her back to consciousness.
Cheryl's eyes remained closed and she didn't move a limb, however she let out a little moan. Like she enjoyed the food she was eating.
"Uhhm okay, I need you to lie on your back." Toni said to herself out loud. Not that she was an expert, but being with the serpents for all those years definitely taught her a few things on how to act when someone fainted.
She moved one arm underneath Cheryl's back and the other underneath her legs, so she could lift her from the stone tiles. Even though she was strong and used to carrying people when they were hurt, it was still a challenge to pick her taller girlfriend up from the ground.
"Toni." Cheryl said in a desperate, yet very cute and innocent way. It wasn't a question, she just needed to acknowledge her presence.
Toni carried her weak girlfriend to their bedroom, feeling her heart beat in her throat. "It's okay Cher, I got you okay, just listen to my voice."
She placed her down on the bed, not giving a care about the fact that Cheryl was still dripping wet from the shower. She would deal with that later. The redhead was as pale as a sheet of paper and her fingertips were a purplish kind of colour. It was all pretty frightening.
She carefully wrapped her in one of the blankets that was laying on the bed near her. Hoping it would warm her and make her feel a little more comfortable.
Cheryl slightly opened her eyes as she felt the soft thin blanket put over her shivering body. Her head hurt and her eyes felt extremely heavy, though it was nice to see her lover sitting next to her. Despite that the only thing she could read from her face was concern.
"Hey baby how are you feeling?" Toni asked after a few seconds of watching Cheryl get used to her surroundings. She gently caressed her lover's cheek with her thumb, letting her know she was right there for her.
"I feel sick." Cheryl said hoarsely. She looked at where Toni's hands were and lightly touched the skin with her cold fingertips. "But thank you Toni."
Toni took Cheryl's hands in her own and blew some hot air onto them. "Of course babe, I wouldn't just leave you there. You did scare the crap out of me though.
Cheryl merely responded with a 'sorry'.
Toni shook her head and realised she shouldn't have said that, because she knew Cheryl would take it to heart. "But I'm not blaming you Cher, don't worry."
Cheryl knew that her girlfriend was concerned, and in all fairness, she had every right to be. "My hip and shoulder hurt a little." Cheryl muttered, with a troubled expression on her face.
"Can I have a look?" Toni asked as she looked into Cheryl's eyes, she was clearly in pain, but tried to hide it.
Now that Cheryl was fully conscious again and aware of what had happened she realised how hard she actually fell and that her body was naturally reacting to the shock.
"Yes." The redhead said while nodding her head and giving her girlfriend a supportive little smile.
Toni lifted the blanket and was met with a huge red slash blue-ish bruise on Cheryl's hip and upper tigh. "Ohhh yup that is bad Cher." She quickly scanned the rest of her girlfriend's body, but didn't see any other huge bruises or swellings.
"You might not be able to walk for some..." Toni tried to make a joke, but she stopped mid-sentence when she looked at the redhead's face and saw multiple tears streaming down the side of her face. "Ohh I'm sorry babe, I didn't mean it." Toni said as she took Cheryl's hands in her own. "Are you hurt?" She asked, knowing that she wasn't crying because of her joke.
Cheryl nodded and closed her eyes.
"Oh shit Cher. You really fell hard didn't you?...Toni hesitated for a moment, thinking about what to do. "So why don't you sit up and I'll help you get comfortable in the bed."
After helping Cheryl get into some clothes and into a comfortable and cozy position the brunette sat down next to her girlfriend. "So I have an idea."
Cheryl looked up at Toni with red weary eyes and a hopeful little smile on her face.
Toni loved to take care of Cheryl and even though the circumstances weren't ideal, she knew Cheryl would appreciate it. "How about I get you some tea and something to eat to strengthen your immune system and some painkillers to alleviate the pain. And then we can perhaps, if you like, watch a movie or just cuddle."
Cheryl's face lit up with a smile. "Or both." She said softly and innocently. "Thank you Toni."
"Of course babe."
Cheryl let her head rest against the pillow when she suddenly remembered something. "But wait T you have work tonight, you can't-
"Cher, you fainted and you are hurt. No way I'm leaving you alone tonight. And by the way, they'll be fine without me it's never busy on Tuesday nights." Toni reassured a seemingly unconvinced Cheryl.
"Okay well if you say so."
Toni wiped an untouched tear from Cheryl's chin with her thumb. "I promise darling."
They stared at each other in silence for a few seconds before Toni spoke again. "I'll get you some medicine now and some food and then I'll join you in bed all right?"
Cheryl gently smiled and looked at her girlfriend with a grateful little twinkle in her eyes. "Looking forward to it."
