A successful failure

Cheryl wants to try something new in the bedroom, but isn't sure if Toni is going to like the idea.

Cheryl couldn't focus on the movie that was playing in front of them. A thought, an idea that had been occupying her mind for a while now just seemed unshakable. It needed to be told.

Toni was one of the most open-minded people she knew and she was sure Toni would always listen to her no matter what it was about. And yet, it was scary. It almost felt like she needed to confess something to her. Something illegal.

"Toni?" Cheryl spoke with her eyes closed and her body still tucked into Toni's side.

"Mmm, yes babe." Toni muttered as she glanced over at Cheryl before looking at the laptop again. Assuming she was going to say something with no significant importance.

Cheryl pushed herself up a little and leaned against the headboard to be able to look at Toni properly. "I uhm..I actually wanted to talk to you about something."

Toni instantly leaned forward to pause the film they were watching. All of a sudden Cheryl sounded a lot more serious and perhaps even a little upset, so if she wanted to talk to her she would obviously listen. "Yeah of course Cher, what is it about?"

Cheryl scanned the ceiling for a few seconds and pressed her lips together. Searching for the right words. "I just wanted to ask you something, because I've had this thing....this idea in my head and at first it seemed ridiculous to me, but the truth of the matter is I can't really stop thinking about it and I just want to know your opinion."

"Cher baby you don't have to explain yourself or make a big deal out of whatever this is. You can literally talk to me about anything. There is nothing I wouldn't talk about. I'm serious." Toni said as she sensed the discomfort in her girlfriend's voice. She grabbed her hand and gave it a little squeeze. "Just tell me, there is nothing to worry about."

Cheryl nodded and looked at Toni's hand on top of hers before staring into the brunette's dark brown orbs. "I just wanted to know if you are into...uhm...just tell me if you aren't but....if you are perhaps into scissoring?" Cheryl said with extreme uncertainty in her question.

Cheryl watched how Toni's expression didn't change at all. She just smiled at her and kept her hand on Cheryl's fair skin. "That wasn't so hard right? Nothing you can't ask or tell me."

Cheryl blushed, feeling relieved and anxious at the same time. "So...is it some...."

"Yeah of course Cher, I would love to do it with you. Just tell me when you're up for it."

"Tonight" Cheryl breathed out, feeling excited. Now that she finally told Toni she wanted it to happen as soon as possible.

Toni chuckled, "all right. I'm looking forward to it."

"I just don't want it to be a fail." Cheryl looked at her hands.

Toni shook her head. "It will never be a fail. Cher. I know it's not the easiest position, but there's only one way to find out if this is something for us, right. We'll try and see how it goes, no pressure okay?"

Cheryl nodded her head, feeling genuinely reassured by her girlfriend's words. How did she get so lucky?

(That night)

Cheryl and Toni were kissing. All clothes had been ripped off and thrown somewhere across the room. They were sitting upright with their naked chests pressed against each other.

Cheryl broke the kiss and let her head rest on Toni's shoulder, taking deep breaths. "I really....want to...try."

"Of course my love." Toni said before she sucked one last hickey onto Cheryl's neck. She then proceeded to gently push her shoulders until her back touched the mattress. She placed her hands on Cheryl's knees to open her legs a little further.
