This story is set in season 5. It's a conception of how I hope Choni will get back together.

Toni is still pregnant in this story

This story might be nowhere near accurate, it's just my imagination.

"Cheryl, I asked you to meet me here, because I want to talk to you about something." Betty said after sipping from her vanilla milkshake.

Cheryl sighed, "what is it cousin, you know I'm busy." She asked as she was already annoyed by the way Betty was talking.

"I wanted to talk to you about...uh you" Betty nervously said, not making eye contact.

Cheryl slightly narrowed her eyes, "about me? What about me." She said confused.

Betty looked up, "about you Cheryl, and..Toni."

Cheryl stared into Betty's light blue eyes, tears threatening to spill from her own. "I don't....Toni and I broke up 7 years ago Betty, there's nothing to talk about."

"But there is Cher. Look, as your cousin, I care about you and I care about your happiness. And even though you're trying to hide your emotions, I can see that you're in pain." Betty grabbed her cousin's hand across the table. "I know you miss her Cheryl, you miss her terribly. So please, talk to her, try to make amends. Because you still can."

Cheryl huffed as she wiped away a tear with her sleeve, "it's too late." was the only thing she said in response to Betty's monologue.

"Of course it's not too late, you just have to give it a chance Cher. You deserve to be happy and to be loved. Why would you deprive yourself of those things." Betty paused for a minute as she looked out of the window from their booth at Pop's. "Deep down you know that Toni still loves you and cares about you, and if you ask me, she is still waiting. She's waiting for you."

Cheryl gave Betty a tiny little smile, tears still streaming down her face, ruining her perfect makeup. "She'll never forgive me cousin."

"You'll never find out if you don't try, so please Cheryl do...give it a try." Betty said, once again squeezing Cheryl's hand.

Cheryl looked down at her milkshake that was still filled up to the top, "I'll think about it" she said in a small voice.

"Okay. Thank you Cheryl, please call me if ever you need me." Betty said standing up and giving Cheryl a hug.

Cheryl held her cousin firmly as she was not used to having someone so close. She felt vulnerable, yet appreciated in a way she hadn't felt for a long time. "Thanks Betty", Cheryl said as they broke apart.

Betty smiled, "I firmly believe things will get better." She said rubbing Cheryl's arm.

After they had said their goodbyes, Cheryl drove home in her red convertible, thinking about Betty's words. She realised that talking to Toni might be her only option.

In the days going forward, Cheryl couldn't focus on any of her paintings, her nana or the messages she received from Minerva Marble, who oh so delicately tried to worm her way back into Cheryl's life. The only thing possessing her mind was Toni, with Betty's words playing on repeat in the background.

One morning, about a week after Cheryl's encounter with Betty at Pop's, Cheryl decided to give it another chance. After all, she knew that in the long run she'd never forgive herself for giving up without even trying. She knew that she would have regrets for the rest of her life.

Cheryl planned to go visit Toni on a Wednesday morning, since Toni was now on maternity leave and Kevin and Fangs would most likely not be there.

After fetching some groceries, Cheryl grabbed her bag ready to go out the door again, when she heard a faint voice coming from behind her. "Where are you going my child? Nana Rose said as she came into the kitchen.
