Cheryl is sick and Toni wants to do something fun for her. However, things don't exactly go according to plan.

-Toni POV
Riverdale has been plagued by a heat wave for the last couple of days and it's starting to become unbearable. I have to wipe my forehead about every minute to prevent the sweat from dropping in my eyes.
But besides this absurd warmth, I also have a girlfriend to care for who is upstairs in bed with a fever. I don't know how she managed to get sick on the hottest day of the year, but it happened and I feel sorry for the poor soul.
I climb the stairs with a big glass of water filled with extra ice cubes in my left hand and a sandwich with lettuce and cheese in my right. As I push open our bedroom door with my foot I see Cheryl lying on the bed. She is wearing absolutely nothing and I can't help myself, but quickly scan her body. Her curves.
Cheryl notices me right away and moves her legs a little closer back together. "Ohh hey TT, I just...was really hot, so I got rid of my clothes and the duvet." It's the first thing she tells me and it surprises me that she thinks she needs to give me an explanation for her actions.
I walk to her side of the bed and place the refreshments on her nightstand. "It's totally fine babe, I get it. It's like we've been living inside of an oven for the past couple of days." I grab a paper tissue and wipe Cheryl's forehead with it. She closes her eyes and lets me touch her face.
Cheryl blinks. I can see that her lashes are wet and that the little red veins in her eyes are more prominent than usual. "What's the matter my love?" I ask, even though I think I already know the answer.
Cheryl shakes her head and slightly opens her mouth, but no words come out yet. Her left cheek twitches a little bit, which worries me. "I don't want you to stay with me when you could be going out with Ronnie and Betty. Doing...fun things."
I shake my head and grab Cheryl's hand. "Don't be ridiculous. I'm not just leaving you here alone."
One of Cheryl's tears rolls down her cheek and merges with the sweat in her neck. I feel sorry for my girlfriend. I know she wants to do fun things too and she wants me to do fun things, but I don't want to leave her here alone while I'm enjoying myself without her.
So why don't I just bring the fun to us? I think to myself as I picture Cheryl, Betty, Veronica and I sitting around the pool.
"Babe, I might have an idea, but I'll need to call some people first okay." Cheryl looks up at me with a hopeful little twinkle in her eyes. I think it's cute.
"You do?" She asks me as she wipes a tear away from underneath her chin.
I nod and stand up from the bed. The covers are clammy and it makes me feel uncomfortable. It's true, we both need to unwind a little and take advantage of this heat. I place a kiss on Cheryl's temple before I run downstairs to grab my phone. I think I have a great idea.

An hour and a half later I hear the doorbell ring. "The girls are here." I squeal and practically run to the front door. I already carried Cheryl down from upstairs and she is now lying down on our couch. Her cheeks are red and she is clearly exhausted from the lack of sleep, but I know she is still excited that I invited the girls over."Heyy guys, I'm so glad you're here." I let Betty and Ronnie enter the house and lead them over to Cheryl.
"Oh my Cheryl, you look like shit." Veronica says as soon as she sees Cheryl.
Cheryl lets out a little sarcastic laugh. "Thanks Ronnie, I appreciate it."
We're all wearing our bikini's. I even managed to get Cheryl into one, even though she was protesting at first. However, I told Betty and Veronica that it would be a 'small' pool party, so of course my girlfriend had to wear the appropriate attire too.
