After driving to school in her red convertible Cheryl walks down the halls of Riverdale high school, a place where she weirdly enough feels safe and confident. A place where she met the girl who saved her in so many ways. Toni Topaz.
Cheryl's thoughts about her lovely girlfriend were disrupted when Kevin, her bestfriend came sprinting towards her, screaming her name.
"Hey Kev, calm down, what are you doing?" Cheryl asked Kevin as she looked at him with big eyes.
Kevin carefully looked around him to see if no one was staring at them. "Did you do it?" He whispered, clutching Cheryl's arms, while he looked straight at her, eagerly awaiting an answer.
"Jeez Kev, no we didn't, I chickened out." Cheryl said somewhat embarrassed as the memories from last night came back to her. Toni and her had decided to take 'the' step, however at the very last moment Cheryl felt too insecure and cried because she was so nervous.
Kevin's expression changed from extremely excited to confused. "What why Cher, lesbian sex can't be that hard."
"Well I don't know about that, it's seems pretty complicated, but I'm not sure I can do it." Cheryl said, suddenly feeling emotional as she listened to her own words.
Kevin rolled his eyes, "sure you can Cheryl and by the way you're like super hot, so nothing to worry about." He said giving Cheryl a little smile as they sat down in the very back of the class for their first period.
"Thanks Kev." Cheryl said, glad she had a friend like Kevin, who always tried not to make a big deal out of things. "I just don't want to mess it up with Toni you know, she deserves someone who knows what they're doing." She said feeling disappointed in herself.
"What, no Cher, you are amazing and wonderful and we all know that Toni is head over heels for you. She loves you. And the fact that you're all new to this and a little inexperienced is all completely fine. Toni doesn't care, she just wants you to feel good and be comfortable. Trust me Cher." Kevin said with a concerned expression as he looked at his bestfriend.
Deep down Cheryl knew that Kevin was right. That it wasn't her fault and that she was just new to all of this. Yet, no words that made sense were formed in her head. Instead she just simply nodded as she looked at her own hands.
"You don't have to worry Cheryl, but always take your time, you know that right. If you're not ready then..."
"No, I am." Cheryl quickly interrupted Kevin, "at least I think I am, I really want to do this with Toni."
Kevin thought for a moment, "well if you're sure, you should just talk to Toni about it, make some rules maybe." He suggested.
Cheryl hummed, "yeah, you're right, I think I should talk to her."
"Anddd I can definitely give some advice on how to do the....dirty." Kevin giggled as he whispered the last part.
Cheryl looked at him in dismay, "what Kev, you're gay."
"Exactly babe, I'm gay, which means I know everything." Kevin said, with a proud expression painted on his face.
Cheryl rolled her eyes, "sure you do." She said as she opened her history book.
Cheryl was absolutely sure Kevin meant what he had said about lesbian sex. They used to talk about all kinds of 'improper' things whenever Kevin stayed over for the night. No shame whatsoever.
