Cheryl gives birth, but one of the worst things imaginable happens.
*Sad
*Fluff
-After 9 tough months of carrying a baby and dealing with all of the complications that are called the 'gift of motherhood' it was finally time for Cheryl to give birth.
It had been a difficult time for Cheryl. However, despite the sleepless nights, all sorts of ailments, the constant stress and her mother's strong disapproval, a new feeling had cultivated inside of her. The feeling of belonging; a sense of knowing that this was right. Her destiny.
-
"Good Cher, deep breaths." Toni said in a quiet voice to her wife, who was laying on her side on the bed, clutching her stomach. "You're doing so well babe."
Toni placed a kiss on Cheryl's hairline and mindfully brushed a few hairs from her sweaty forehead. Since Cheryl was extremely tense right now and in a lot of pain, Toni tried her hardest to appear calm. She would occasionally caress her arms or head, place kisses on random places and sooth her with sweet words.
Nonetheless, it was supremely hard to see her wife in so much pain. It was almost unbearable. She would instantly take it all away if she could....But of course she couldn't.
"Toniii." Cheryl whined with her eyes closed and her hands gripped tightly around her wife's upper arm. Another contraction. She cried as she tried to breath through the extremely painful cramps in her lower stomach.
Toni felt helpless as she looked at the redhead's wet stained cheeks and listened to her heartbreaking cries. "My love." Toni said, trying to distract Cheryl a little with words. "You are such a strong woman and you can do this. And I'm right here. I'm right by your side."
Cheryl slowly opened her eyes and nodded. She rolled onto her back and softly padded on the bed. "Will you sit?" She said in a raspy voice.
"Of course Cher." Toni sat down and intertwined their fingers. "I think that the midwife could be here any minute now." She glanced down to see if anything had changed, but everything seemed to be the same.
"Enjoying the view?" Cheryl said, as a contraction that had lasted for several minutes finally subsided. She sounded weak, yet a little more optimistic.
Toni rolled her eyes and showed a little grin on her face, "I'm just checking; making sure nothing's changed."
"It's fine Tones, I don't mind. Has anything changed though?" Cheryl asked, hoping something would happen soon. She felt like she couldn't wait for that much longer, the cramps were just too intense.
"Nope, tight as ever." Toni said, joking around a little now that Cheryl was temporarily in a little less pain.
Cheryl closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, "I can't with you TT."
Toni smirked and placed a kiss on her wife's knee, "you're beautiful my love and you're doing amazing. You honestly have no idea how proud I am of you." Toni said while she softly caressed the girl's lower leg.
Cheryl nodded, but wasn't able to form any words. It was clear that another contraction was approaching and that there was no time for long conversations.
The fear in Cheryl's eyes was what pained Toni the most. The helplessness. The tears that streamed freely down her cheeks and subsequently down to her neck.
Cheryl pressed her lips firmly together as she tried to control the extreme discomfort that was dominating her body and mind. A moan escaped from Cheryl's lips to release some of the build-up tension.
