"Uh..." Jieun began, looking at the two friends who were standing around. "That's all, right?" she asked. Sooyun nodded, acknowledging her large pile of clothes.

"Yeah... I think that's it." Yunseo replied and they all went to the check out counter. A chorus of beeps followed shortly after and soon everyone had paid for their clothes. Since there was nothing else to do at the mall, the trio decided to head to the park.

It was a nice break from the mall, which was filled to the brim with people. Jieun, Sooyun and Yunseo walked slowly on the path, breathing in the air given by the trees and appreciating nature. They carried their bags full of clothes and chatted amongst themselves while the breeze coolly blew their hair around. They all felt the same being here. Nostalgic and happy.

"Hey, why don't we take a selfie together. It feels like ages since we've done that." Yunseo suggested. She took out her phone when everyone agreed and found good lighting before snapping a pic. The two, being Sooyun and Jieun, crowded around the phone Yunseo held to look at the photo.

"Aw, man. My hair looks bad in it." Sooyun whined. Jieun and Yunseo rolled their eyes at her.

"Yeah, ye- oh hey look! Aww, there's a dog!" Jieun exclaimed, pointing at a black labrador. All her friends cooed, hit by a meteor of cuteness. The lab and its owner were walking towards the girls, who were staring at the dog. The dog panted and leaned near the new people, sniffing them, circling around them. The owner stopped, giving the friends an apologetic look and tried to pry the labrador off.

"Ah, I'm sorry for her. She's just excited- come on now, we should let them be on their way!" she said in two different voices.

"Haha, nah it's all good. I love animals. What's her name?" Jieun asked, petting the energetic creature at her legs. "Aww, good girl," she said to the dog.

"Her name's Skunk," Skunk's owner replied fondly. "A name that's pretty self-explanatory, but I love her regardless."

"Fair enough," Jieun responded in amusement. Sooyun and Yunseo were now taking turns to play with Skunk, who was very content with the attention she was gaining. "How old is she?"

"Recently turned two years old!"

"Ah. Nice." Jieun said. She crouched down to give Skunk one final pat before her owner began to walk away, leaving the labrador no choice but to follow. Yunseo and Sooyun were sad to watch her go, but they had to. They soon began a new conversation, putting their interaction with Skunk away in their memory and continuing their walk.

Jieun observed the many couples walking side by side on the grass, holding hands and felt a pang of jealousy as she thought of Soonyoung. Her feelings had been getting stronger for him, especially after the many times they had spent a day together. They had already been friends for three months, which was crazy to her.

But she wanted to be more than friends.

Jieun wasn't ready to tell Soonyoung yet, so she would have to wait. But when she was ready to, Jieun hoped they could finally be together, if that wasn't too much to ask.

"Hey Jieun?" a voice asked, causing Jieun to stop staring at nothing in particular. She snapped her head to look at the person, who turned out to be Sooyun. They walked to a bench, sitting down. Jieun swung her legs as she sat, looking at Sooyun.

"Yeah, what?"

"I'm just wondering if you're allowed animals in your apartment," she said to Jieun. Yunseo listened in, also wanting to know.

"Yeah we are, but only small pets. So nothing like a golden retriever or husky. The landlady is quite fond of animals so she allows them but only if they'll be clean or if you'll clean after them. She doesn't want too much of a mess, which is nice of her to even allow pets." Jieun answered.

"Lucky. Yunseo and I can't even have pets at home." Sooyun said, Yunseo nodding in confirmation.
