Jieun once again saw the unmistakable flash of her life as she dreadfully realised what on her neck. Her body uncontrollably shivered when she witnessed her ex pulling something on the object forced on her throat followed by a click. Everything depended on how Jieun would get out of her terrifying predicament.

An overwhelming amount of stress filled her body as she tried to think of a way to walk back alive. Her mind was occupied until the man behind this all began to talk.

"I really haven't been the same without you, I swear. I just couldn't get the thought of you out of my head and it was driving me crazy. I've missed you so so much since our break up." he rambled on, talking utter nonsense.

[Flashback]

"I have had it with you! That was the last fucking straw, I literally cannot be with you anymore. You can say bye to this relationship." Jieun said, beginning to stomp to the front door. An arm quickly turned her back around and she was faced with her ex. In her fit of anger, she slapped his hand off and stepped backwards to keep a distance between the two now ex-lovers.

"Don't. Touch. Me." she hissed.

"Jieun, I didn't do anything wrong, I swear! I can't see anything wrong with anything I've done, why are you acting like this?" he asked. Jieun eyes flared in rage.

"You've literally manipulated me and used my own unstable emotions that YOU were a part of creating for YOUR OWN BENEFIT. Do you not see the goddamn problem!? I TRIED MY BEST TO BE BETTER THAN I ALREADY WAS BECAUSE YOU SAID THAT I COULD IMPROVE AND I SHOULD FOR YOUR SAKE. If I had known better then I would have left you earlier. But I gave you too many chances and I was weak and needed someone to lean on. You exploited me. No normal person does that and doesn't admit to it or at least feel bad, not even when it's your own girlfriend." she yelled furiously, letting her emotions take on harsh words. Despite acting remorseful and confused, his eyes held no reaction to her outburst and remained blank.

"I'm so sorry Jieun. Please, I'll do better next time and I'll make it up to you. I promise I'm truly sorry this time." he pleaded weakly. Jieun scrunched up her nose distastefully at the male.

"You said that the last two times you tricked me into forgiving you. And guess what? You never even tried to fix yourself. If you can't at least try and be better, then I know you're a bastard who doesn't really care about me. You best believe I'll never want to see your disgusting face ever again. Goodbye."

The door slammed shut as Jieun finally felt free for the first time in months.

[End of flashback]

A bold hatred replaced her fear temporarily when she remembered everything that caused their split. Now, she didn't like to pin the blame on anything, but in this case, everyone knew it was definitely his fault. Jieun knew that everything he spewed out of his mouth was to manipulate her into coming back to him. There was absolutely no way he still loved her if he was willing to manipulate Jieun.

Jieun was lucky he was always a bit of a dumbass.

But still, even if he was a dumb asshole, he continued to speak.

"I really want you to know how much you've broken my heart." he paused, catching his breath. "It really hurt so much. But because I can't have you, it means that no one else can either. I'll have to shoot you."

It was the stupidest idea Jieun had ever heard in her entire life, even including the ones Soonyoung had come up with. She was pretty sure he was just extremely bitter she got away from him and when he suddenly remembered Jieun, he felt so angry that he had to kill her.

Sore loser. Jieun thought, trying to make herself feel better in her last moments.

"Unless... let's say you do still love me, then maybe we could get back in our relationship and finally live that life we always dreamed about back then." he proposed, smirking like he thought Jieun would still genuinely love him again.

She felt the stress press itself onto her and Jieun was nervous to make any decisions to try to save herself. With the gun on her throat and being a constant reminder that she might die, Jieun was burdened. It was a literal ticking time bomb. She could not afford to make a bad decision and cost her life. But there was no time.

And at that moment, Jieun knew what she had to do.
