"Shh... it's okay, take your time. I'll wait." Jieun murmured. Soonyoung looked at Jieun, who smiled. She swiped the tears away with her thumb, his face still damp from the trails those tears created. They stayed hugging for a short while until Soonyoung finally stopped crying.
"Th-thank you."
"Are you okay now?" Jieun asked and the male nodded.
"I'm sorry you had to see me like that, it's a bit embarrassing honestly." he chuckled.
"It's fine."
"It's shocking to lose someone close to you. And it just hit me really hard mainly because my father wasn't always in the house due to his business, so it was her that took care of me." Jieun nodded at him empathetically.
"There shouldn't have to be an excuse for why you should feel sad over this. I know exactly what you are feeling because it has happened to me before."
"Thanks," Soonyoung replied, sniffling.
Jieun let go of him, standing up and looking around, seemingly searching for something. She wanted to find something that would cheer him up and lighten the mood up. She remembered the kimchi jjigae she had promised him last night.
"I don't know if you remember, but last night I promised to give you kimchi jjigae. So, you better get up and come over so I don't have to owe you anything." Soonyoung rolled his eyes, laughing and got up. Alongside Jieun, he walked to her place.
They entered her apartment and Soonyoung pounced on the couch.
"You lazy ass." Jieun jokingly said, shaking her head. Soonyoung ignored her statement, turning the tv on and scrolling through the many channels.
"Do you have Netflix?" he asked. Jieun came over to where he sat and took the remote from him, finding Netflix on the list of installed apps.
"Yeah, there it is." she selected it, signing in and the screen popped up.
"Thanks." he laid his head on the comfy seat as Jieun walked to the kitchen, grabbing the ingredients for Soonyoung's favourite dish.

"Thank you for the meal," Soonyoung said politely, taking his empty bowl and placing it in the sink alongside his spoon.
He heard Jieun say 'no problem' and walked back to his favourite thing apart from food and Jieun (the three were tied), the couch. He plopped on, unpausing the movie he had been watching earlier. Jieun soon joined him and the two sat. A laugh erupted from Jieun at one of the scenes and Soonyoung smiled adoringly at her.
Jieun unconsciously moved closer to Soonyoung to be near warmth. Soonyoung flinched at the sudden feeling of someone leaning onto his shoulder. He turned to look and was met with Jieun, who stared at the screen unknowingly. Slightly blushing, he continued to watch the characters.
They stayed like this until the very end of the movie.
Jieun realised who she was leaning on and apologised profusely to Soonyoung who she thought must've been uncomfortable. Little did she know.
"Uhh, continuing from that. How are you feeling now? Better?" Jieun asked, noticing a bright smile on Soonyoung's face.
"Yes, thanks to you."
"Awww. I'm honoured." Soonyoung rolled his eyes, his smile widening as he did so.
"But seriously though, you know you're an amazing friend right? Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve you."
"Don't feel like that. We're friends for a reason. And I know I'm amazing." she praised herself.
"Yeah, yeah. Don't let it get to your head"
