“Thanks for throwing this for me! It was really fun having you guys around for my birthday and surprising me and I honestly couldn’t ask for any more. And I promise we’ll be just as a amazing for your birthday too, Jieun!” Sooyun said, winking at Jieun who smiled. She hugged Sooyun, letting go shortly after and heading outside, where Soonyoung was waiting as well as Yunseo, Jun and Minghao. Chan and Joshua poked their heads out of the door and waved goodbye to everyone leaving.

Soonyoung and Jieun were the first to start walking back to their car, saying their goodbyes to Yunseo, Minghao and Jun. Their steps were synchronised as they walked down the stairs.

he road they took was bustling with many others, car lights illuminating it alongside the streetlights. It was still fairly busy despite being a bit on the later side of night, displayed through the many people walking down the sidewalks and the vivid ‘open’ and ‘close’ signs of stores. As Soonyoung and Jieun passed one part of the street, they could hear the booming music of the clubs. The sound travelled farther than expected, as they could still hear it’s vibrations meters away. It reminded Jieun of her first few encounters with Soonyoung.

She calmly rolled the windows up, as the air brushed against her, trying to keep as warm as she could. Jieun still had Soonyoung’s hoodie on, which she had to admit was very comfortable. It was a bit oversized, which Jieun liked. She thought of keeping it if Soonyoung didn’t notice (lol). One other thing she definitely did not want to mention was the fact the hoodie made her feel safe, almost as if she was in Soonyoung’s arms. 

As Jieun sat, staring mindlessly out of the windshield, a favourite song of hers started to play. She closed her eyes, smiling as she sang in her head, slowly swaying to the beat. Soonyoung couldn’t help but curve his lips into an endearing smile as Jieun began to hum along, not realising she was. Her voice carried in the quiet car, sweet like honey. The song was called 247. It was such a nice song to listen to during the car ride, the mood fitting the song well.

During her mini concert, Jieun delved into her thoughts, deeply in a state of tranquility. Jieun half-listened when Soonyoung began to speak, his mellow voice echoing in her head.

“Jieun, do you like me?” Soonyoung asked with nervousness. He had no reason of asking, except to maybe get an answer he was hoping for. It was such a random time to ask though, and in all honesty, he had no idea what to expect from Jieun. He just wanted to see if she would say yes (haha them puns tho) so he could confess without any awkwardness between the two. 

Jieun opened her eyes immediately at those words, in shock. She instantly felt her heart pulsing, and it was so silent you could hear a pin drop. She wondered if Soonyoung could hear her pulse too. Jieun fidgeted with her hands, glancing towards Soonyoung. Does he know? Surely he doesn’t know I like him… oh god I hope he can’t read my thoughts.

“I… I-” Jieun stammered, not knowing how to respond. She refused to say anything with the fear that she would say the wrong thing. Soonyoung stared at her for a few seconds, feeling let down as he realised that she wouldn’t answer. He sighed in disappointment, feeling his heart crack a tiny bit.

“Yeah, nevermind.” he quickly said. “I hope you know how badly I wanted you to say ‘yes I do’...” Soonyoung mumbled quietly. He shook his head, slowly pulling the car into a parking space.

Soonyoung was the first to leave the car. Jieun longingly stared Soonyoung with a guilty face, regretting everything that just happened. Only now that everything had passed did Jieun wish that she could turn back time (stan WAYV) and answer his question. Now he probably hates me. Great.

She reluctantly got out of the car, shutting the door. Soonyoung, who was already walking away, locked the car without sparing so much as a glance. Jieun felt that he did not want to speak to her at the moment and just walked far behind him in silence.

Jieun how could you not say anything. I’m disappointed, my child… lol

I just want to say... I am very sorry for not updating my books in ages and leaving you guys hanging
It's been a bit tough as I've not been  motivated to write and update

BUT I am back now and I'm going to make sure I don't abandon any of my stories!!!
