Her life flashed before her eyes as an arm snaked around her waist, pulling her backwards. A hand clasped over her mouth, preventing her from letting out a terrified screech for help. Jieun kicked and kicked, trying to get herself away, but to no avail. When she stopped struggling, realising it was useless to force her way out, she felt a person next to her ear.
Jieun felt extremely uncomfortable at the small sound of breathing next to her and shrieked more.
As if it would help. No one was there to save her.
"Hello, Jieun. Remember me?" a sinister voice whispered.
Jieun's eyes bugged out in complete shock when she recognised the voice of someone she expected to never see ever again. The plastic bag that she held this entire time had been dropped to the ground in her disbelief. She simply could not understand. There was absolutely no way he was here... no, not after she had made such an effort to get away from him and she was doing so well. All that progress was surely not thrown away at that second.
Well... unfortunately, it was.
You know that one ex you had that was completely batshit crazy? Well, that was the man behind the voice that shocked Jieun so much. A batshit crazy ex.
Here's a little backstory:
Once upon a time this boy and girl met each other at a bar and instantly found a liking to one another. The boy got the girl's number and they started dating after talking and finding out that they liked each other. Everything was going completely fine and well, and the girl was almost in love. But she was tricked into falling for a facade of who the boy was not. The boy was overly possessive of the girl and manipulative. He absolutely had to have the girl all for himself.
But the girl soon starting catching onto his behaviour that was slowly unfolding itself. She was horrified to learn the true nature of the charming person she loved. The girl could not stay with anyone like this.
So, one day, when she had enough of his possessiveness, the girl broke it off with him. She left before he had anything to say and moved into a new place, where she hoped she would find someone better and never see the boy ever again.
But if you couldn't guess, it didn't work out too well.
Now, the crazy, manipulative, possessive, fucked up, revolting, and disgusting ex was here. Basically, he was very bad and a big no-no.
Jieun panicked, having no way of escaping or defending herself. She was completely terrified, shown by her uneven, short breaths and small tears of anguish. Her arms flailed around, trying to get out of the hold she was wrapped tight in. Her muscles tensed up as much as they could, leaving her smaller than usual, but it still couldn't help her. The dark night mercilessly ignored Jieun's distraught cries for help.
It was all hopeless.
Soon, she realised this and began calming herself. Jieun remembered those tips for taking deep breaths in when panicking or scared. She inhaled deeply, trying to ignore the emotions that desperately pounded her wall. An exhale came shortly after. Jieun dragged that breath on for eight seconds. She could feel her ex's hand getting clammy from her breathing and she wanted to squirm.
"Well, there you go. All calm and nice now. Shall we continue?" he asked, chuckling to himself villainously. Jieun glared at him, even though he was behind her and didn't notice. "I'll take your silence as a yes then."
A sharp stab of fear hit her when Jieun felt a cold, hard material on her throat.
Yea so remember that ex I mentioned in one sentence in like the second or third chapter? I don't expect you to but yeah it's him-
